  1. I don’t have a do it all bullet, and I don’t shoot moose. Mouse on the other hand, I’ve got hmr? ?
  2. Thanks for that Ian, looks like I’ll get it done........when I have to??
  3. Good shooting Ian, some of the steel I’ve tried have been absolutely shite with very poor strike energy. I’m eventually going to have to go down the same route with my ugartechea sbs as it’s half and full, but I don’t know if it’s worth it for the value of the gun?
  4. One on the track earlier, two off the feeder this afternoon, only had an hour but it was a bit slow. Only picked one, other landed in the brambles. Cuppa time now??
  5. You been sat under that pigeons nest for long pal? ?
  6. Squirrels keep coming, I’ve topped my feeder up that I was shooting last Friday, it was empty again on Sunday and half way down again yesterday. I’ll check it again tomorrow, it’s looking promising at the moment.
  7. Thanks for that vm, I’ve had a look at the new wildcat, it’s nice but I don’t have an itch for it whereas I do for the crown.
  8. Any idea what the .25 crowns run at out of the box vm? I know yours is .22 but I was considering a crown in .25, I don’t want a stupid long barrel on it though, 500 max.??
  9. You can, I bought 200 cb caps just before covid and I bought 500 .22 shorts a few weeks ago, I use them mainly for rats, outdoors of course ??
  10. Never mind si, a bit more practice and you’ll get there eventually ????
  11. I wouldn’t want it doing 11.95, that’s going to go over with fluctuations in temperature and atmospheric conditions. Just not worth it, better at 11.5 or 11.7 max in my opinion. You wouldn’t be able to tell the difference anyway.
  12. Had quite a few stoats and weasels recently, another the other day..
  13. Yerr, try to plan ahead, that means you aren’t doing anything right now ?
  14. Nice rifles fella. Before I got my impact I was set on a crown, but the practicality of the impact won me over in the end. A 700mm barrel for greater efficiency being possible without the barrel length making the overall length too much, as the barrel pretty much is the overall length. Incredible shot count and so accurate. Brilliant tools. Still might get a crown though, just to complement the impact if you like.....?
  15. That’s spot on deker, and the 5.5mm pellets just weren’t compatible with the airsporter. Loose in the loading tap and loose in the bore was always a recipe for poor performance in both energy and accuracy. They’re still, and always will be a lovely looking air rifle though, apart from that terrible pressed chequering on the “S” model. Maybe “S” stood for shite..... ??
  16. I had an airsporter “S” .22 and it was crap basically, it would only really work with eley wasp pellets, anything else was low on power (about 9ft lb)and poor accuracy. Even with the eley wasps it ran about 11ft lbs but accuracy wasn’t brilliant. It had the plainest walnut stock I’ve ever seen with awful pressed chequering that was deeper at one end of the panel than the other. All in all a major disappointment for what was supposed to be bsa‘s flagship model. I do like the mk1’s and mk2’s and I’d have another for nostalgia, but I honestly think that the later airsporters got by for years on t
