    Our hens free range and curently have 12 hours full light. I am tired of feeding them through the winter with few eggs coming of it, so am trying to find out what will work with my little flock. I raised the heat lamps up in their shed where they all roost for the night up higher and replaced the heat bulbs with regular light bulbs to provide the extra couple hours of light as it has been lovely and warm and only down to 50 at night.     After what I experienced what my old bitch went through, I couldn't imagine "humanely" euthing an animal ever again. To each his own however. Lets look at some basic figures ... on here, there are roughly 10,000 members, and probably half that (5,000) are active, posting members. Lets assume that in a 5 year period, each active member would have to put an animal down, or assist a close loved one in putting one of their pets down.     I am one tight fisted bitch, and even I (Capital I!) have donated ... of course that was last year, and as I did not receive a reminder email (which should prove to everyone that Ian doesn't solicit or request donations) I have let it lapse. Will remedy that ASAP.

    Dave I'll make a recommendation ... why don't you get a written statement from the boarding kennel for what it will cost you to board the dogs. Send it or take it down to Countrywide with a contract saying that if your kennels are not delivered on Novermber 19 as promised, that they agree to be responsible for the per-day boarding fee plus a reasonable discount (20% or some such figure). If they are as confident as they sound, they shouldn't have any problem signing and agreeing to your terms. You are paying a decent amount of money, and they are NOT the "only game in town", so if they won'
