  1. it is illegal in many states/counties here, but I think it is more "discharging firearms in city limits" etc that are the prosecutorial (is that a word?) issue. I guess if the dog/cat suffers, there could be a "creulty" charge as well, but you'd probably need witnesses or some sort of proof to be done for that. A bullet is a hell of a lot more humane than other ways I've heard about. after I put my old bitch Russell down a few years ago after she had a fast growing tumor and had slowed down eating etc I took her into the vet because I "couldn't" do it myself, despite Kye's offer to do it
  2. well we think he's a pit/catahoula cross, he has some redish leopard spotty patches on his brown coat. Oh and I forgot about Zombie, she was a rescue mix of some kind that we placed back in Vegas, both she and her sister were the nicest dogs, one with normal brown eyes and Zombie had whitish blue eyes, sooooo eerie
  3. were the 3 varying shades of blue, or were they all the same?
  4. he'll be pouting all week now!
  5. I think they normally lighten quite a bit, my collies eyes were much bluer when she was a pup, but nothing like that neon blue eyed thing you have
  6. night moocher that is way blue! If anyone hasn't clicked on those photobucket pics, DO IT. Shells are Blue, but NM's are NEON Here are our blues collie pit x of some sort that just showed up in our yard
  7. I've not seen any, but you'd think there'd be some around?

thanks for posting that, and here's the photo she used ...
  9. I just learned by watching the vets do it in the past, it is quite easy as long as the injury is straight forward. If you have sewn tough fabric before it makes it easier to do, and I think it is like injections, it gets easier after the first time.

I'll see if I can get a few decent pictures of the work Mrs. Borderer has done for me, they are really lovely
  11. they are lovely for sure! I'd love to see them out and about
  12. what did the vet do, set the toe or??? Did he give you several options or what? How much time to decide if it has set? I have a dog who smashed her foot running over a manhole type of cover, she had the toe (like a bag of ticktacks) whacked off by the vet, local job in and out in less than an hour. Hasn't slowed her down or inhibited her turning.
  13. It's not ever easy (or shouldn't be) to do it, which is one reason I just don't breed much , it's been 3 years since our last litter and thinking about the next, but cringing at the thought of a 10 pup litter
  14. what oldskool and proudy said ... or breed him, pick a pup and knock the rest on the head. Better than the pups ending up with the RSPCA
  15. Meeri and whoever else is opposed to freezebranding, can you please explain why? I'm curious in hearing "the other side" of arguments skycat nice seeing someone DOING something about an issue rather than just bitching about it, it will be interesting to read what comes of it
  16. IMO cats and rabbits are a bit different from livestock ... not that it's okay but it is different. If your dogs hunt something, and your neighbor keeps that same things as a pet, just be extra vigilent all the time. It can be a bit awkward to say the least.

    1. how do you know it was him that slashed your tires? ANYONE could have done it, surely there is more than one c**t in your neigborhood? 2. you could have snuck down in the dead of night and put an unsigned typed note in his mailbox if you didn't want to confront him face to face like an adult saying if he did not improve the dogs living conditions within the week you would report him. And then if nothing is done, knick the dog and find him a good home yourself 3. having problems with your neighbors is no good, sometimes it is better to ignore the situation rather than having a (po
  18. shame, each time I went MIA I could always expect he'd still be here ... hope he'll reconsider, it won't be the same without his way with words that fascinated me and I assume others
  19. that's why my friend had the outside haunch tatted ... now if you sell on dogs regular it wouldn't work, but for those that keep/dispose of their own, it works out well I'd say
