  1. Filthy little ni++ers. He should have dumped the lot of them in the drink
  2. Yeah you wont want to go much more than 10 yards. I shot a rat at less than that in the garden once and didnt kill it. Not saying i was aiming very well though. f****d it up though including a broken leg so i was able to catch it and smack it with the stock. Still, it wont be eating any more of my dads racing pigeons alive
  3. You need a shotgun licence for it. I used to have one. Its great for close range rats. Other than that it isnt really very usefull.
  4. To much beddy for me but the real question is "what do the parents do?". Are they grafters? How well do they fill the bag? Thats what hunting folks want to know. If they are just kept as pets its a gamble, they might work, probbly will but they might not.
  5. I have one but i havent worked her. Lovely dog. She has shown eagerness to go in the bushes whenever she has been around them but shes mostly a pet. She is getting on now so i doubt i will do anything with her. Shame cos i would have loved to see her work
  6. Reminds me of the time i slipped on what i thought was a nice bunny in the new forest. It turned out to be a donkey laying down. A lot of the stock in the forest wear hi vis collars so they dont get hit on the road. As my little whippet x ran at this thing, it stood up. Gave the dog a fright and all i could say was "what the f**k is that"? You expect rabbits to skoot along the ground, not suddenly raise 6 feet in the air
  7. She will be a belter mate. In fact she will probably be even better than expected because shes grateful to you for getting her out of there and she wants to please you. Be patient, teach her well and get the best grub in her. And worm her and all that stuff. And she will run through a brick wall to see you smile
  8. I am about to start reading his book "mad, bad and dangerous to know". Looking forward to it
  9. A properly bred and reared litter costs a small fortune to get to selling age. If you buy top brand puppy meal such as royal canin or iams etc, worming every 2 weeks, a bottle of goats milk, half a tub of ricotta and a good squeeze of honey every day for 3 months. And the mother getting the same from 2 weeks before they are born. And thats without washing their bedding every day and socializing etc. And the shots. Although 1200 a pup is a bit strong.
  10. Only an idiot would put a ferret to badger on purpose. And if done by accident, the badger would be pleased with a free meal
  11. I had a beagle x jrt and he was a terrific dog. Didnt run on, loved bushing. Would go al day if i let him. Wouldnt give up either, if there was a rabbit in a bush no amount of brambles or gorse would stop him from getting to it and pushing it out for the sighthounds.
