Dust to dust electric cars are currently far worse than diesel or petrol. Not to sat they won't get better but at the moment they and their batteries, don't last long enough to justify their production.

Pretty sure he isn't sandymere, he's been on here ages

I zeroed at 42 yards and had to adjust slightly to get what I wanted. It shoots very nicely now, just need a bit of time to get out and use it now

I believe that climate change is an issue, a big one. I also believe that the solution is localisation not globalisation. Mass migration, transport of goods from the other side of the world, universal access to air travel etc all need to change but they won't because they are uncomfortable truths. People far prefer to fo their recycling and drive their electric cars and pretend they are the solution. The actual solution is to live local, produce and consume locally, and less overall, and attempt to reduce the population. No chance any government is ever going to do that though as the

I was an extra in it as a child. Not heard or thought of it for years. Proper blast from the past

Has anyone ever put a hare to ground with the lurchers

I've been lucky enough to be taken pig hunting in 2 countries, I have chased pigs, stuck pigs and carried pigs but I don't believe I have anywhere near enough experience to have an opinion on pig dogs. I was basically a tourist. How anyone can have such an entrenched opinion based purely on what they've read on the Internet and never actually done amazes me.

In my eyes there's two big problems, accountants and the entitlement culture. Accountants get hold of what started off as a good idea, carbon offsetting, environmental subsidy schemes, green energy etc, and immediately pick it to pieces and find loopholes in it to either make or save money. It becomes a tick box exercise and the positive gain it was supposed to achieve is lost. The entitlement culture means people don't appreciate food and aren't willing to pay what it costs to produce in a more sustainable way. They believe its their due, along with latest phones, massive TV, new ca

I spent a fortune on lightweight gear before I went to nz. I was bloody glad of it walking up those hills though! It lasts well to be fair and been using it ever since so can't complain -
Cheers. I zeroed at 42 and if it ever stops raining I'll see what it does further out

f**k him, he's a wrong 'un. Its good they threw the book at him, now they just need to be doing it on the same scale to the ones doing the same stuff to people. If cats gets you 5 years kids ought to get you hung.

So does this mean zero at 42 yards is same as 100 giving you near on flat shooting out to 110ish?

Tyla replied to hawki's topic in General Talk
Yeah I wouldn't take the thing back packing! Handy for the farm though but it is a bugger to clean and maintain -
Perfect mate, that's exactly what I was looking for. That's with a 50 yard zero or 100?
-
Cheers lads. How flat is the trajectory? I'm more used to deer calibres and a .22 for anything else. The crows have got a bit wise to the .22 though hence wanting a bit more range.
-
I've got an hmr on the way to, hopefully, deal with some longer range corvids that are causing me problems. I've not had one before and am interested in recommended zero range please. I know they shoot flat and hate wind and have shot a few mates ones in the past but never set one up
-
Not sure what point you're trying to make mate, or is that me being uppity again? As far as I see it it's like everything else in life, you make choices and you live with them. Whining gets you nowhere. I'd be more convinced it was a bad call if anyone could say what the consequences would be but nothing I've heard has made much sense so far, it's all a bit mysterious. Just have to wait and see I suppose
-
Uppity? Really? How so? if you're right its too late for loads of people including me so I hope you aren't. Seems fairly reasonable to me? Either way, I've had them now so no point crying over spilt milk is there?
-
I guess the advantage is that you can go in a club? Why you'd want to though I dont know
-
I'll have to wait and see then won't I? I've a mate who is convinced everyone who's been jabbed will be dead by October. Hopefully you're both wrong .....
-
Too late so not a lot I can do lol. What is it that you think will happen to all the people that have had it?
