  1. You could try believing that not everyone needs the same from a dog? I'm sure your dogs suit you but they'd be next to useless and probably a liability for me and plenty of others. Lurchers are adaptable creatures and can turn their hands to lots of different things, which is lucky as there are lots of different quarrys, terrains and hunting styles. Different crosses suit different people otherwise they wouldn't exist. Hares are not the be all and end all for everybody. Just enjoy your dogs but please, for the love of God, stop trying to ram the wretched things down everyone's t
  2. I'm getting a beaver x just for the day
  3. If they are as good as you say it'd be good to see no doubt. Even if they aren't I reckon you are the kind of bloke who comes across badly online but probably be a ok in person. Either way i can't see it happening as you're miles away and all my llurchers are ancient now
  4. mc Hull, you are nuts lol. Can't believe I've just spent half hour reading this! It's a shame you aren't a bit closer or I'd come see these super dogs of yours, im not driving that far for hares though as it really isn't my thing.
  5. Mine are the same when I visit Owain
  6. Just enjoy the pup and forget the rest, it's of no real benefit
  7. I would hope so! I would be be looking for a dog that already exists for a start. I'm not interested in any particular line, especially one that hasn't started yet, just a dog thats doing the job. I'm a long way off doing anything about it anyway, just musing more than anything
  8. I'm interested in this cross as a potential future sire but I'd be wanting an old dog that's seen the work and not for a while yet
  9. You don't know what you're missing ....
  10. Its a marinara, it's got fish instead of meat. My Mrs was tucked up at home, probably watching some dross on the telly lol

  14. Yeah, got water and 12v solar system. The solar is plenty for lights and charging stuff, even got a WiFi dongle as phone signals crap there.
  15. I bought the land and had that from before, I built it about 6 years ago as a bit of a marital lifeboat, so just moved it onto the land. I dont live in it full time but do spend a lot of time there
  16. You can't beat the outdoor life at this time of year. Looks a nice set up Ken, im jealous of the lake, that's something I really want for my place
  17. Took the pic after the deer snapped my pulley rope but you can see my shed / workshop in the background

  19. I use sako 90 grain in my weatherby and can't fault them
  20. They look amazing. I've got a terrible addiction to the ones from the local M&S garage lol, they are wildly overpriced but I just can't help myself. Home made ones could easily be the death of me! Luckily my Mrs is barely domesticated so not likely to be a problem
  21. They were spot on, the look black in the picture but they werent
  22. I was late back last night so kept it simple
