  1. That is without doubt my favourite way of hunting. Never know whats going to be round the next bush, love it!
  2. As above, either Ifor Williams or other canopy, if not IW must be either silver or blue. Cheers
  3. They are all bitches except the big red dog right at the back. The one on the right is small but couldn't say exactly, she's herdwick's bitch, sure he'll put her height up
  4. That's good, I tried to call him yesterday afternoon but got no answer. I cant believe he didn't know it was holding all those birds! More birds there than some of the drives I've beaten on!
  5. Good to see, looks like you are going to have a lot of fun together
  6. Did you meet our "friend" again?
  7. Herdwick and I used to have a couple of hours bushing every Sunday but due to the lack of rabbits over the last few seasons its been let slide a bit in favour of other things - its not so much not catching that spoils it but not seeing anything every week got a bit much! After securing a new bit of ground we went out for a look this morning and had a good few hours. Herwicks team consisted of, in no particular order, Snuff, Lizzie, Trilby, Bristle and Tanner, all JRT bitches, Midge, beddy/whip/grey and his granddaughter Tegan. I had Willow, bitsa lurcher, and Ollie my mongrel terrier.
  8. Useful if your pushing out cover to co ordinate beaters and such but, better than mobile phones but I never remember to take them out.
  9. Does anyone know the percentage they charge for customs / import tax? I've been all over the .gov website but no actual figures, just says you will have to pay a percentage. Is it just VAT at 20%?
  10. if you buy the birdseye for your alpha i think you can download maps from the whole world with your computer i think like on google earthview Thank you, i'll look into it
  11. I'm about to buy a set of the alphas, my only concern it where to get the uk maps from?
  12. Nice pictures, I think I recognise some of those dogs
  13. Now this is a good thread. Well done mate, your love of hunting just shines through your post. Even more impressive that you've written it in a foreign language. Respect.
  14. We have them everywhere here, I was real edgy about them when we moved in but just ignore them now. I think the media has hyped it up, more people get killed by bees and wasps.
  15. There are loads round me, as above under exercised mental things with one exception. The owner of the exception gets towed about by his on roller boots, its great to watch, he's got it totally under control looking fit as a flea and the dog obviously loves it. He does some miles with it too. I think its the only dog of that type I've seen that looks happy.
  16. I bought two of these, not used them yet but they look solid enough and BPR's service was spot on
  17. I knew you had some better pictures than me!
  18. Same as, sorted the dogs out and straight into the shower. The water was black! Minging
