One of me old neighbours rescues hens and said she'll give me a few when she goes collect the next batch , The fella in charge of Allotments told me he's fed up with those who have got plots but do nothing with them when they could be producing veg etc for family's so he's giving plots to new people so hopefully we get one soon .
  2. The misses as said if we get chucks she wants rescue hens so that's the game out the window ? Hopefully you get a good crop from veg patch this year ,I've put in for allotment and they said plots going and they have meeting end of every month so hopefully we get one and get the grandkids helping ? Atb
  3. My mate was in the forces for 25 years and he goes all over uk helping men /women who served that are living Ruth. Like he says some of these people had everything from nice houses ,cars ,partners,kids and the skills to make a good career but for what ever reason life folded on them . Folk working for min wage and struggle to put hot meals on table for kids and pay rent etc ,it's sad and uk send how much to other countries to help ,they need to start looking at there own people as charity should start at home .

I said earlier I've seen them just lay down and give up out in open but on flooded fields diffrent thing ,dogs pushed two up out some cover near a Brook and it was if they running on water not in it ,used to be few about on old ground I walked but most local people think they muntjac ,think its the tusks ,
  5. Lot of things can happen in life ,never no what's round the corner for yourself or your family .

  7. Dumping birds when they plenty of families be grateful for them or even soup kitchens to feed the homeless.
  8. Lot of folk struggling to get by in UK and having to use food banks .think about the meals they could help to put on the table to those less fortunate than themselves .
  9. Had them just quit and lay down but I've also see them on flood fields and leave dog standing .
  10. Last day ferreting tomorrow, I been seeing young since December and most does are in kit so time to call a end this season.

  12. They can do some damage ,my ol dog lost 4 teeth ,23 staples in his side and pissing blood for few days from the kicks , turned out deer dog feed that's for sure .
  13. Me old dog took roe, cwd easy but one of these nearly gutted him one Xmas eve and definitely a deer day as it cost a fortune in vet fees
  14. He was born at stow horse fair and travelled all over England/ Wales but his family settled in March near huntingdon .
  15. Me grandad never had a dog for anything else but coursing hares and everything else he took with wires and catty ,also see Abe Stanley take a hare out its seat by hand ,he's the only person I've seen do it and not just the once .
  16. I find it hard to walk through the woods without falling over dead /fallen trees and get ripped clothing on brambles and fall into ditches and that's a walk lol ?
  17. No dout some juks get a nack for it but I Think a track bitch would end up smashed or dead running deer in forests .think best way is to push them out into the open then let the runner do its job .
  18. Not many juks going to last long coursing deer flat out in Woodlands,like you say better chance out in open .
  19. I'd have thought a lurcher would stop a deer in ?? just like they can here.
  20. That's what life is for "living" and experiencing as much as possible in the time we got .
