  1. Does are full of young now and I been seeing young running about for couple months . We not had a proper winter in few yrs ,haven't woke up to blanket of snow in good couple yrs ,we can no longer say we not ferreting if they in young as they in young all year round now

  5. I don't no why he as to say hundreds of yrs when he can say he's kept this line for at least fifty and I dont no many others who can say they been breeding same line of lurcher for 50 year do you?

Think the closest you get to a smithfield today is a beardy lurcher type or you could ask Jeff b who breeds so called smithfields ,lots of folk take the piss out of Jeff but he as kept this line for 50 year at least and they do breed true to type ,he trys telling folk he can trace his dogs hundreds of yrs but he as no need to do that .
  7. It's the vh viruses that have wiped out some areas of UK, Myxi seems to hit but not in the same devastating way it used to and I think it's down to rabbits have got immune to it to a degree but the vh viruses have totally wiped rabbits out in areas that always held good numbers .

  12. Before they brought out the dwa licence in 1975 you could buy any animal from big cats ,bears,crocs, venomous snakes ,wolfs and even apes. Can you imagine how many of these cats and reptiles was released once licensing came into place .I have a few mates who keep venomous snakes and they used to go to a carp lake catching what folk believed was water snakes but was really a type of Asian rear fanged rat snake and one that can pack a punch but not anufe to kill a human . Like you say imagine what the streets be like if anyone could buy a tiger ,lion etc today
  13. I been watching vids on YouTube of acd working and they definitely seem to be stronger tuffer than any border collie that's for sure and they work in some extreme heat . Think acd bring a lot to the table and if I was looking for a herder x to put into the mix it'd be acd
  14. I have no dout they big cats out there people can live in India, Africa ,America etc all there life's and never see one so they not easy animals to find and they plenty woods ,forestry and wild places in UK for them to roam .

Me family are travelling people and I always remember me family had camped up on a old USA airbase and us kids would go out messing about in local woods and the old buildings on the base ,anyway they was about 8/9 of us kids walking along a sheep track that made its way through a field full of brambles and tall grass and as we walking along mucking about we see what looked like a big fawn coloured cat ,it was walking towards us but on another track ,it got parallel to us and stopped turned its head to look at us and moved on and it was clearly a small lion and I now think it was a mountain li

Looks like you had great day at it, I was out yesterday ,netted up a hedgerow and dropped two hobs in and took 8 in a few hours ,ferrets and dogs worked well .I'm back at it tomorrow with long nets ,lot of young about but farmer as asked for it to be done and its new permission so got to crack on .
  20. By the pics they definitely see plenty of rabbits and like you say he puts the time in .
