never bred any pups myself katchy. personally I have no interest in anything bigger than rabbits. if the little dogs do that to a good standard it's all I ask. -

does it have to be a earth dog to produce a lurcher?. if it works, marks bushes, rabbit, rat, squirrel etc, and you only work rabbits whats the problem. -
same here rabbit numbers very low but greys are booming. my little beddywhippet marks & trees them. looking to get a catty any recommendations? & what's best ttf of ott?.

your right about price seen recently at £400 to £500.i paid £300 nearly 2 years ago but its money we'll spent. it took me a long time & had to wade through a lot of shite to find what I wanted but there is good ones out there. to me they are not a running dog they are a mooching dog which is exactly what I wanted.

micky touched on fighting with other netters in his post. a couple of Derbyshire towns well known for netting years ago. lots of tales were they would get on set & find someone else's nets already set they would then cut both lines & mesh. fxck knows if they could see state of things today what they would make of rabbit population & the fxxking nanny state.

there was some right old characters then. penalties were much more severe & the rewards meant more. I loved listening to the old boys. I learned how to peg in the 80's but obviously the old uns could go back to 20s & 30s.

fxck it I will start you off. the old chap who showed me how to peg many years ago. (traditional) had 63 on one drop. this was using 3 nets the preferred length around here has always been 70 yards. he said guys older than him had far bigger bags this was 1975.he also said how they adapted hard ground pegs in 1976.he gave me a set of these pegs & yes they still catch rabbits today 43 years later. ?
