agree with that ?. many years ago me and a good friend had 2 litter sisters. collie, deerhound and grew bred. mine would make hard work of picking up. she hit rabbits and at times seemed to throw herself at them, but was a decent dog. his was the most natural catch dog I have seen. just seemed to pick them up without breaking stride, talk about chalk and cheese,.

it's a good offer ?. I would say most are reluctant due to the time of year. not knocking you, I know it's pest control and sometimes has to be done to keep permission etc.

same as owt mate, I have been paying £19 for a thousand, £26 last time I looked.

like him?, hows he bred?

thanks for the replies everyone, looks like I will be clipping her.

asking for help here. I have had beddywhippets for over 30 years and never bothered about clipping. this bitch just coming up to 5 years old has a really thick rough coat, great in winter but even the slightest heat really gets to her. what do you think about clipping, good or bad?... ps I don't give a monkeys trumpet about looks, it's purely got to benefit the dog.

all I can say is I average 15 miles a day at work, then take dogs a good couple of hours. I am getting on a bit but I think 40 miles is a big ask.

my beddywhippet bitch is 18 1/2 tts and I have lost count the amount of times she has become unsighted in tall grass, reeds etc,. -
she turns 7 months on Tuesday and I keep thinking early days, but I am really happy with her progress. she's hunting up well and really surprised me how she enters cover, doesn't let nettles bother her, etc, she's very independent but also follows beddywhippet as well. so yes so far I am?

ferreted with Russell's years ago they are good markers. I haven't lamped for over 25 years now but I intend doing a bit with this whippet. I know some say don't start them in the day due to hunting up etc. daytime hunting, mooching has always been more important to me, so we will see how she does ?

same mate, I say it's the silver fox look, but I am hardly beating them off with a stick..

I am a dyed in the wool beddywhippet man, first whippet I know it's very early days but she has surprised me a bit ?
-
mooching this morning dog's in a bit of cover, saw it drop in a little sett. pup picked scent and gave a good strong mark, backed up by the same from beddywhippet. very early days but at 6 and a half months really pleased how she is hunting up and using her nose, not shy of cover either ?

I stick with 23/18. with a 17 active terry. depending on ammo I only use 9.5mm steel. my wrists are fxxked with arthritis awaiting now on a 4th operation. I have found precise.65 to be bang on. Nice easy draw even for me while still packing plenty of power.
