I think it was 1995 and I paid £620 for the insurance, I remember it because it’s the most I’ve ever paid for insurance
-
Apart from what I drive now I think the xr2 would be the one I’d want to own now out of all the cars I’ve had, just for the memories of being 18 and driving it like I’d stolen it

All very bodged this job, she’s changed her mind again, so I’m now patching up concrete and bodging in random drains, it should off all been pulled up and done properly, half a million quids worth of horses here and they don’t want to pay for the job to be done right

First legal car after passing my test was a mk2 Vauxhall Astra B reg, I had it 4 months before I let a lass drive it and she put it through a fence into a field of sheep, then my mate bought a mk2 xr2 for me and let me pay for it on catalog terms, I loved that car, I think it’s still on the road, I seen it at a car show a few years ago, still looked mint

Horse wash room today on my local estate, bit of drainage and a concrete pad to go in on Friday, the lady of the house is so posh she looks like she’s in pain when she’s talking, absolutely loaded and dresses like she’s homeless

Sure I’ve just been spanked, lad said to me, do you want two days ( 340 cash ) so I got there this morning, worked flat out all day and got it done, so one day not two, gave me £200, I bet he doesn’t knock the other £140 off the bill, I say all this but I’d probably do the same ( lol )

Little gravel path at a school today, should be some good jobs come off the back of this, so a fair but not a good price on this job

Big old roast beef dinner today, I’m going to have to go out for a mooch later to walk this off

That’s a long stretch, they don’t fu*k about over there back in the late 90’s I used to do a bit with a lad ( funnily enough he was from billingham) who owned a little travel company doing stag/hen trips to Amsterdam, he also had two sunbed shops ( good cash business ) around here, I hadn’t seen him for a while so asked about and he’d been arrested in Holland on a conspiracy, he was shifting massive amounts of E’s, he got 26 years, I’d never seen him since then but a few years ago someone I was talking to mentioned his name and said he had been found hanging in Syria, god knows what he wa

One of them companies is registered in Ireland for the movement of non descriptive goods, I was talking to a mate earlier in billingham and he told me stuff I couldn’t repeat, but if it true she a very naive, silly little girl who has ruined her life

It’s not looking good for the little fool, it turns out she travelled to the Philippines on her own to meet a lad called Ross, this was one of names my niece said, before she went, there was a window fitting business registered with HMRC with her as the owner/director, this company doesn’t exist, apparently the family are well known in billingham for all the wrong reasons, but not international drug trafficking
-
That’s lovely, congratulations to your family, it’s a beautiful thing to be able to give that little lad the life every child deserves

Day off today, so while the cleaner ( mother-in-law ) is hard at work I thought I’d come and have breakfast with the pensioners
-
My niece went to to school with her, she said she knew exactly what she was doing, got involved with an older group and they have just took advantage of her stupidity, she’s been at it for a couple of years apparently, pictures all over of her with loads of cash ( not hers ) she lives in a council house with her mam in billingham but makes out like she’s a Kardashian, my niece said she’s surprised it was weed and not sniff because of the people she’s involved with around here, she also said if it’s to do with who she thinks it is she will keep her mouth shut, let’s see if that’s true when she

Last of the concrete in, back on Monday to take the boards out and tidy the edges up and around the manholes, mixer lad brought the concrete gaffer with him today, he’s nearly 15 year old now and he said this is probably his last outing because he can’t walk now, I remember when he got him, a lovely little dog because I’ve liked working for this bloke I did him a little freebee before I left, redone his bit of fake grass, brushed up and sanded

I don’t, I just fix them, I’m lacking in people skills to be a bus driver

Sleep when you’re dead

Sort of, private hire coaches

Funnily enough I was thinking I could do a bit more, someone I know who owns a coach company offered me a job back on the tools ( 48k salary) I turned it down, but said I’d do a few evenings a couple of Sundays a month for him, cash in hand, so I start on Thursday evening ( lol )

It is a shame, I’ve been going to it since it started, the first two years were really good, then it started going downhill, there was very few firearms dealers there this year and no air rifle stands, it was good for me because it’s half a hour from my house, I certainly won’t be driving to Stoneleigh, it will take me about 3 hours

Second lot in and the broken pavers replaced, last pour on Thursday
-
It was terrible, me and a mate went on Sunday and it was empty, we normally have the best part of the day there but this time we got there at 9 and left just after 12, I’ve just had an email saying it won’t be there next year and it’s been moved to Stoneleigh next year which is about a 3:45 hour drive from me so won’t be going to that oh yeah, and it was £6.70 for a can of cider
-
All prep done for the second pour tomorrow, aco’s in and into the chamber and boxed the drain off because they want the original salt glazed putting back in some tw*t in the street has reported us to the council for breaking a couple of paving slabs ( which we would replace before we left) they have been round to take pictures and have spoken to the customer, so we’ll see what comes of that, not that I’m arsed because it’s not my job

This might sound a bit poncy but in my defence I followed a recipe and it was delicious butter baked pollock with cavolo nero colcannon, griddled asparagus and a Prosecco cream sauce
