    Not going to well this job, no fixings for the gates so I’ve managed to pick some up on my way home, so I’ve put a base in for a greenhouse today and cleaned around a pond because he’s thinking about making it bigger ( that will be a good job)

    I’ve been on 4 or 5 jobs where they have been using a mole and I think they have damaged a drain or a water pipe, the last one they hit the inlet to a treatment plant and over the next few months filled the garden with sh*t

    Electric gates to go in today, the posts have to be 4’ in the ground, put the first one in, now I asked the lad “ are they sided “ no was his reply, turns out they are and I’d put the wrong one in, back out and other one in, all day to put one post in, bugger ( lol )

    I’ve done that much of a full day I had to send the missus to the chippy because I ran out of time to cook her anything ( lol )

    First part of the job finished, yard stone down and rolled, road planings down and rolled on the driveway and a bit of light pruning around the house. She’s now asked for a price to remove all the sheeting from the sides of the shed and re-do it with Yorkshire boarding, I can’t imagine that being cheap

    Good stuff, I’ve seen load of you on the sides of the roads on the moors where I’m working, hopefully they’ll make a bit of a comeback, when you come down off the moors all you see is hares

    I’m a twin and we couldn’t be any more different, especially when we were younger, he was always a quiet lad where as there was normally a warrant out for me, luckily my missus saved me from myself in my mid 20’s

    Back on the spanner’s today, a service, brakes, suspension and a quick recovery job, I’ve enjoyed being back in a garage, not sure I’d want to go back to it full time though

    Deconstructed cottage pie because she’s not a fan of cottage pie but likes all the stuff that goes in it ( she’s just weird )

    Quick cheapo steak and chips with some garlic mushrooms, I couldn’t be arsed to put any effort in tonight

    It shows a problem with the licensing process, it’s all done online with my firearms department now, if it allows you put a made up certificate number in then that’s a problem, the system should be set up so it checks the certificate number as you enter it, same way as when you enter a password, if you get that wrong it won’t let you continue, if they did it the old way by just filling the transfer out then the person sell the shotgun would have no way of knowing it was a fake certificate, that way should be scrapped and your certificate number should have to be checked be firearms to verify w

    Sea bass with a Mediterranean stew, bit too much chilli but I didn’t let it beat me

    More bloody curbs today and then sorting the edge out ready for seeding while my mate played on his digger all day, doubling the size of the yard

    Chicken and chorizo pasta, I over cooked the pasta which was disappointing, anyway, it doesn’t look the best but it tasted ok

    Fence done, surface water drain done, 75 pin curbs in and half of them benched up, I’ll finish it tomorrow because I’m knackered now

    Gate posts in and pin curbs starting to go in, haven’t got much done today because the customer keeps changing their mind on where she wants things, just as well I’m paid by the hour on this job

    Nice hour walk out this afternoon, took my mate young’un with me so we didn’t go to far as there’s only so much 10 year old talk I can handle
