  1. It bloody hurt, my bollocks were aching for days
  2. A good few years ago I pissed on a mains fence, I just fell on the floor and pissed all over myself
  3. I’ve seen them in screwfix for 100 quid, never give them any thought
  4. That’s what I like about the.17, no need to creep up on things ?
  5. I’ve never looked at it, I’ve always just used what I’ve had but they are a bit knacked now, bodged together with tape and cable ties, so if there’s money left at the end of the season for that price I might have a couple ?
  6. A good days graft around the pens today, we have got the mesh around the bottom of the newest pen ( forestry pen ) in and secure and a full new electric fence installed, I’ve removed the electric fence from the pen next to the farm ( Gordon’s pen ) and this will be renewed next week, our fabrication lad has started to install the new drinker system in Gordon’s pen as well, this is the same as the one he fitted in the forestry pen last season with large poultry drinkers, things are coming together now ?
  7. Oh no, I didn’t give that any thought, that’s the stuff of nightmares, she said her daughter had brought them for me and she lives on her own ??
  8. I have a Gallagher and two old hotlines, they do the job ive just had a look at them Voss energisers and they look decent and not a lot of money
  9. You wouldn’t want them with what I shot them with, one of them was about 15 yards away and I pillowcased it i’d forgotten just how pretty I was under all that hair ??
  10. Is that in the field where you shot the dog?
  11. On my way back to the farm I spotted one of the veg patch raiding rabbits crossing the track so let it have it with a 40g mini magnum, the old girl came out the house chuffed to bits that another one had bit the dust and tell me she had something for me, before producing these, I’m not sure what she expects me to do with them and I didn’t ask ?
  12. Dropping electric fence posts up at the shoot, though I’d stretch my legs with a walk round now the rain has stopped, took the hatstand semi with me and to my amazement I managed to drop a couple of woodies so traps set again and I’ll be back up tomorrow to carry on with pen repairs and check the traps, the flies are mental so it’s off home for a shower and a beer ?
  13. Well, absolutely sod all seen one fox on the way back to the car but it was on next doors land and it was heading away from us, not a bit interested in the mouth call, we did manage 4 more rabbits of the cut grass and now the barley is coming down we’ll have a bit more to go at
  14. Another trip to the sheep farm, done the usual route around the back of the farm, nothing, no deer, no foxes just one measly rabbit that Hugo’s dad put to sleep with the .17, so now we are trying our luck in the two front fields that were cut a couple of days ago, as usual the farmer forgot to mention this
  15. ? don’t be like that Ian, you need to keep on top of the mice ??
  16. What a way to spend the day and a walk around with the .17 to to finish the day off, lovely stuff ?
  17. If I remember correctly the dsg box takes about 4lts if its Quattro it’s about 5lts, there’s a proper procedure to change it, you can’t just drop it out and fill it, it has to be above a certain temperature and you have to flush it through the solenoids, when I worked for iveco I used to do it on the new daily automatic and you had to fit the diagnostic to operate the box to remove all the oil, you could damage the box if you put to much oil in or not enough, my mate said vw/Audi say it should be changed every 4 years or 40000 miles, he recommends 2 years or 20000
  18. The dealer couldn’t be any more fare than that, I would of said a 40000 mile service at a main dealer would be a major and the box should of been done, everywhere I’ve worked 40000 mile service is everything
  19. It should of been done at least once when it was still under its warranty service plan, from a good second hand dealer the car should automatically come with 3 months warranty and if they are doing all the other work before they sell it, it wouldn’t take them much to do the box as well
  20. If the car seems right, try them for a gearbox service and an extended warranty on the box
  21. I couldn’t say, if that’s been motorway miles then maybe it would be ok but it’s it’s constantly been up and down the box it would put me off a bit, that’s why I don’t have mine serviced at Audi because I know they won’t do it but charge me for it
  22. It should show on the digital service record at the main dealer what has been done to it, I think on mine it’s every 3 years it should have a gearbox oil and filter, it’s covered in the major service, I have a mate who looks after mine who works for an independent Audi specialist and he says it should be done every 2 years, I think the fault is when the oil is worn it doesn’t pump it around the box properly, starving part of the box of oil, this wasn’t the case with mine, I was giving it some and a bearing shat itself, the new box was £7000 and they are chassis specific and had to come from Ge
  23. When you look at the seat, make sure the dsg has been serviced correctly, vw/Audi have had a lot of problems with that box, I’ve got an Audi s3 with dsg and 9 months from new it needed a new box with less than 6000 miles on the clock, the cost of repair is sometimes enough to write the car off, once the Audi is out of warranty in November it’s going
  24. Fingers crossed if I get finished early enough tomorrow I’m going to go and spray some lead around the place, see if I can drop a few of them tree rats from the branches ?
  25. That’s something I’ve never done, I’ve never really been into deer stalking I’ve always been more of an opportunist, maybe it’s time to learn a new skill ?
