    Got a pair of sprayway, they got a few good reviews and at £45 ( instead of 100 ) I thought I’d give them a go, they fit spot on and are very comfy, only time will tell if they are built to last but I could have 5 pairs of these for what I paid for my meindl’s

    That as well ? No, but looking at that made me take a pigeon off a small strip of spring barley ?? I had a trip up to the egg units for a bit of bunny bashing tonight, I’ve not been there since all the trouble with my feet, there’s still a good few about but with the grass been so high I was limited to where I could shoot, 17 rabbits and 1 pigeon ( for my tea ) for 21 shots I can highly recommend my new summer walking boots, feet feel a lot better than when I walk around in my wellies, best 45 quid I’ve spent ?

    Just a trip up to my mates farm tonight for me and the long one to one spot where we could sit in a grass field and maybe have a chance of a ginger or a buck, sadly nothing showed but it was nice to get out and stretch my legs, I was surprised we didn’t see any deer and also surprised at the amount of hares we seen, with one coming within a few metres of us, I’m just on the countdown to combine, fingers crossed for some warm summer evening out on the stubbles ?

    Not to bad, just took it steady, I’ll see what they are like tomorrow and maybe have a trip up the egg units for a few rabbits

    First walk out in about 3 weeks, so a trip up to the shoot, just to see what was about. First of all a few rabbits for my mate with the .17 and then a call for half an hour at the one place it’s still possible to shoot but nothing showed, getting back to the truck and heading back to the farm, we had just set off when my mate clocked a deer making its way along a gutter, I got the .243 out and headed to the bank side of the gutter, I could see it through the bino’s and it was a roe buck, but with its back to me it presented no shot. We had a good idea where it was heading so jumped back in the

    A keeper I know uses a maxus with 3 1/2” chamber and it will shoot anything you put in it, it must be magnum proofed because if it wasn’t it would be no good to him

    90% of my ground is arable for foxes but I’m lucky that the other 10% is a sheep farm, woodland and recently egg units, so I’m good for an hour or so out shooting rabbits and squizzers and an odd fox, when I started I only had crop fields so used to have 3 months or so of not doing much at all

    Nope, the story goes that a french ship wrecked off the coast in the napoleonic wars, the only survivor was the monkey and the good people of Hartlepool hanged it as a spy because they couldn’t understand a word it was saying, much like the rest of the country when speaking to people from Hartlepool maybe I’m wrong, but that was the story I was told from been a kid ?

    Just down the road from me these nutters They are known as monkey hangers, yet most of the statues are of chimpanzees ( they are not monkeys) it was said they thought it was a french spy and hanged it, so it’s ok to hang a french man as long as no one thinks they are racist, no wonder I stay away from the bad lands ?
