  1. I use sako 70gn ballistic for fox in the .243 and have only had one runner that was down to bad shot placement, I haven’t used any else that put a hole in them like the sako ?
  2. Might of been because I didn’t shoot anything, so spent a lot of time looking around ?
  3. That’s some fine looking land, I’ve only been shooting in Scotland once and the shooting came second to the scenery ?
  4. A top job and well worth a night shift and luckily you didn’t backfire with all the excitement ??
  5. I was thinking when I looked at it “ that would look nice above my fireplace “ ??
  6. Ben’s got some random picture he’ll give you for them ?
  7. They are doing upwards of 250 quid on evilbay I wonder what my Duke of Edinburgh bronze award is worth ?
  8. I’m going to screenshot that, if there ever comes a time when I meet your missus I will use this against you ?
  9. The first few evenings that ours go in, we go up to the pens for that very reason, they seem to do more in the pen with less cover but if we walk the fence they push further in and get off the ground, they are thick as sh*t
  10. Good job ? hopefully your poults will rest a little easier ?
  11. I’d go .22lr ( everything smaller than a fox ) .243 ( foxes and small deer ) .308 ( bigger deer ) 12g shot gun ( anything above me ) .300 Win Mag ( for squirrels ? )
  12. No, he’ll move some off the farm for local free grazing and take a cut off some of his fields, I would of thought that the early lot will have gone to the mart now, most of what was on the farm looked like gimmer lambs, I bet he’s done alright, I can never tell what’s gone, because they all look the same to me, I’ve just had a look at a local mart sale sheet and some spring lamb had done £145
  13. Up at the sheep farm this evening, mainly to show my face, check the deer situation and have a call for a bit on the grass fields, I had a walk over the back of the farm to the crop fields, the barley didn’t look far away at all, so I rang the farmer and he said the contractor sprayed it yesterday and it should be down in 2 weeks, happy days. At least I’ll be able to see things then, even the sheep that are left on the farm are not knocking the grass back enough to be able to see right along the fields
  14. Hahaha ? someone forgot his chopstick shooting sticks so had to use my triggers, much to his annoyance ? down to the helicopter mans for the last hour of daylight, not much about at all, only managed 4 but it was a warm evening and nice to be out for a bit ?
  15. Yeah, I think they tried to get it banned in America, it’s cost the manufacturer millions of dollars to settle lawsuits, but they still use it. The problem with things like black grass is the seeds lay dormant for a very long time and ploughing doesn’t help even when you loose a crop to it and use the crop as animal feed, then spread the muck, you are spreading seeds in its own fert
  16. It was a similar problem with neonic’s ( I know that’s pesticide ) and I can see a big problem with herbicide’s and pesticides, surely the land can’t take much more, but with no alternatives that are as effective what are they meant to do, every time I go to my mates farm he’s in the sprayer hammering one thing or an other, his crops always look really good but it can’t be good for the the land or his pocket
  17. A good start to the evening, fingers crossed ? for a few more ?
  18. Make sure you don’t wear that back in your native land, thing could take a dark turn, very quickly ?
  19. Nothing wrong with a bit of roll play mate, to spice things up ??
  20. Your not the first person to tell me they were thinking of me whilst making love ?
