You guys never had it so good......back in 1987 (yep -- 21 years ago) the firm I worked for at the time got a bill for just over £1000 for my CAR phone one month! That was as close as we got to a mobile phone then! For some strange reason they were not very happy! Deker

No inbreeding Deker, Just one big happy family unless you live on Bodmin Moor then you have to inbreed, its an old bylaw :11: Blimey...yep, forgot about your neighbours .....

Where the F**k did that s**t come from? So far the only thing I have said in response to Compos post is........ Hi Compo You mean something like "I got a caution for ABH in 2005" Perhaps?? YOU NEED TO GET YOUR HEAD LOOKED AT seems apparent you do have some issues! I know F**k all about you except what you said........ Any advice greatly apreciated, I got a caution for ABH in 2005 and some minor stuff when I was younger (when I was "advised to withdraw my application" for fighting and being a normal 20 something male?? More I hear though the less chance you have of get

Do you get good money per carcass? Nice deer though..Havnt been out your way yet but will be soon to get a few of those mini deer... That picture kind of reminds me of a girl i used to know!!! Money wise I get £1 per 1lb weight after it is cleaned and skinned and delivered to my Game Dealer (head off, boots off as well). Private and Restaurant sales pay £2 per 1lb weight. Still a lot less than my Game Dealer sells the stuff for!

Guys...thanks for all that which I knew anyway...the term used was "Never attach the apparatus directly to the barrel" Answer is, for general hunting its not a good idea, but if you are a useless shot it will probably be better anyway, in controlled environment where all else remains equal its not a problem! Its just the term NEVER is very final and I recall a film......"Never say never again" I still don't understand all the formulas quoted earlier so just attach the Bipods etc to the stud! Took an awful long time to get here didn't it!

Why is it I always forget to take the deer pics out in the field, guess its just because I take them apart too quick! Anyway, just before I carted her off to the dealer, and she was a big girl! Next time I'll try and remember to take the before picture! Deker

They make several and in principle you should find them all a bit cheaper than HMR! Have a word with your local dealer and ask what he stocks.

Everyones skills, needs, desires, permissions, ideas are different.....in the light of this I would get a .22WMR, that suits me best for all my land and the results expected of me. Many will say the .17HMR and others may well say something else, sometimes there are no right answers ...suck it and see as they say!

Me again...help clarify the one in red please. Fixing a Bipod etc to many guns effects the POI. If we assume the ammo remains constant and the surface the bipod is resting on remains constant and the gun is zeroed to this point why will the POI not remain constant as the oscillation should remain constant, or am I missing something? Thanks Deker

Interestingly, the answer, if we are looking at ONE gun may not be on the list....could well be a 12g with tight chokes!

Ian B We obviously get a better class of rabbit down south, relatively few fleas ever (but we are not immune from mixxy)! davyt63 I couldn't help a little chuckle at "mixxy fleas"....I am very impressed, can you tell me how I can identify one please. And...Stubby is right, since Myxomatosis was introduced around 55 years ago no case has ever been reported in any human or animal other than rabbit! Deker hi deker they were the first ones i have had wich was so infested.so took them to my mate who has birds of prey on his advise i dispoed of them he wouldnt feed them to his

"Rifle Club" If you are talking target, HMR is not an accepted target tool, although FMJ is now available. .223 is much more accepted as a target tool! I suspect you should count your blessings, I wish my man would say F**k off, you can't have a .223, have a .5O, that will do everything a .223 will and more! Mind you..if you shop around you will find .223 ammo cheaper than HMR, actually, the more I think about it your man is pretty useful!! I thought you were economising 50BMG ain't cheap £2.50 - £5.00 a bang, (hold of 1200, buy of 1000 would do)...actually, not s

I really struggle to believe you can find 1 gun for both, I just don't think it quite works that way, you really do need 2, BUT if pushed into selecting only one to take out it would be the .22WMR. Deker PS Will the person who voted .243 please make themselves known, we need to pop in to a darkened room and have a little chat!!! PPS Can the 22-250 owner form an orderly queue behind the .243 please!

Whole story and no bullshit, how would you know what was said to me Sorry i didnt notice you sat in my kitchen when I was talking to the F/A officer. That was what he said to me word for word. So I was right...it's not the whole story...you forgot to mention your FLO was insane!!! I know a lot of them are idiots but this takes the biscuit. HMR 250ft lb,........ .223 1300+ft lb, the ideal tool and really useful for round the stables, barns, small permissions, rabbits, corvids, squirrels, etc, etc, who on earth would ever want a .17HMR...he needs certifying!!!!!

Daz Hope this will help a bit! And just quickly before we get there, comments about N Yorks apparently allowing a .223 and Not a .17MHR..... "He said a .223 will do everything a .17hmr would and more so I didnt need one"...is either Bull***t or someone is not telling the whole story! 17HMR, it is much flatter than .22LR and pushes the range up a bit, but don't be fooled by people suggesting it is an everyday 150-200 yard tool because it isn't. It's a good and very useful tool but the wind is not kind to the round! HMR is noisier than .22LR (particularly a sub with a decent mod

Ok...I'm old enough to have done proper "O" and "A" levels (when they were hard) and I've got a Degree (admittedly not in physics), I have considerable ballistics experience and knowledge .....enough, enough. I'm getting lost, put this in simple terms, are you suggesting that attaching the Monopod/Bipod/Tripod/Poles/ Whatever to the front swivel stud is a problem? In addition, and whilst it is obvious many forces come into play when firing "ANY" type of gun, what is the problem with attaching a bipod to a (sturdy) barrel? I still struggle to understand why making an attachement to "

For your info not 1 of them was in cub , but what difference does it make , as FD rightly pointed out this is FOX CONTROL on a big sheep farming area Well done guys a very good session!! And I'm off to do some Fox Control tonight as well, sentimentality has nothing to do with it, the landowner has a problem that they want controlled! Deker

Loads of info on the airgun bbs. The standard is around 30ftlb with bisley mags. As your in the area, Ben Taylor and son at harston knows more than anyone about Rapids. Any more info you can mail me. Neil LOL Cannot agree with that no way ..Many many better people for rapids than him .Ive Pmd you two names mate who are leagues ahead of Taylor ..A rapid done properly is the way to go no doubt .100+ shots at 30FTLBS .Use air arms pellets superb .. Well I suspect that is possible, but I find it hard to believe as BEN Taylor is the ben at the end

Nothing illegal about using a Shotgun at night but I hardly ever do it because as evening decends and it tends to get very still the noise can EASILY travel 5 miles!

So... try some of the Flobert caps, around 30ft lb, or shorts in your .22LR, save you buying another gun! But if you are really desperate to buy an FAC air rifle there is only one to look at. ...the Theoben Rapid.
