Yep! Been out tonight, only about 2 -3 miles from there with another pal, 4 FOXES, and I was being the good guy with the lamp...he missed the lot; simply one of those Barn Door days, but it was all I could do to stop jumping up and down with frustration as my tools were in the boot! Still.... that's 4 left for me next time!

Hi OS Yep seems that way, I'm always pleased when the long ones come off but to be honest I like to get as close as I can generally. Anyway...as a lamp holding buddy on the Devon shot you will know I was pleased, I think Miles was beginning to think he was heading for No 1 in the family... "good shot Dad" with more than a little disbelief in his voice! We all shot well that day and I think your 100 yard bunny with the rimmy at the end was a cracker! Thanks for the PM

Tom Calm down...I was not laying down a courtroom arguement I was showing a very simple discussion, Swindon and Manchester are immaterial, so are any previous "convictions"... BUT that does just show you why a 15 year old may be fine in one area and not another, why a condition may apply or not, why it may be granted or not.....Just because the law says you can have a SGC at 15 there is absolutely noting automatic about it, that was simply the point I was trying to make when all else were saying "He is bonkers, doesn't know what he is talking about, cant stop you" or words to that effect..

Thanks Landrover Appreciate....do I see an opportunity here?????? How many people may want some mags...what about getting a worthwhile order together and getting direct, with a bit of luck we could all save a few quid as the British prices are daft in comparison with prices direct from CZ??? Discuss! Comment!!! Cheers Deker PS some of you may also find this useful.......http://czowners.ipbfree.com/index.php?

Landrover Help me out here, I looked into doing this a while back because they are so much cheaper but I seem to remember delivery came out daft at £25-£35 or something like that...without being rude can you give me the whole lowdown on the total finacial situation here! Cheers Deker

Deker, if they do put a condition on his licence surely he can appeal against it using BASC or SACS as it is a little unfair. i had my first sgc when i was just over 15 and did not have this condition and neither did friends of mine. did you hear about the ACPO's advice recently publsihed for guidance to the police on putting conditions on certificates, im not sure whether this was purely FAC but it said that the conditions put on in one part of the country should be no different to any other and vice versa. please do correct me if im barking up the wrong tree! thanks ss06 Hi

Thank you! But I don't get your problem, £16 is unbelievably cheap so I want one (or more), whats the problem with that!

There are several people/small firms capable of doing this and no doubt whoever went wherever will say, a is best, b is best, c is best etc. Just get used to the fact wherever you go it will cost a lot and probably take a fair bit of time. If thats what you want then fine but many would suggest simply go to Terry Robb, get a tuning kit and do it yourself. ATB Deker

scotlandforever and EVERYONE A few points here...First off you do not need ANY permission for a SGC, neither do you need a cabinet as long as you have ground anchorage (although this is not recommended) With regards your FEO visit, the Law lays down the bare minimum requirements, now, he may well be mistaken anyway and there may well not be a problem but he is/the Chief Officer of Police is quite within their rights and powers to add ANY condition they want to ANY SGC or FAC if they deem it required. Lets hope he is just a bit confused, but if he considers there is a valid reason

Hi Everyone, thanks for the comments/questions...lets see what I can do... First.... the gun is a Tikka T3 Lite Stainless in .223 Second..she was sitting looking at me at a slight angle..the bullet went in her left chest and came out just above her back right leg having gone diagonally right through her. Droped on the spot. Site was a large Livery in Berkshire. Third... the ammo is Wolf 55g HP...very cheap at £18 per 100 but works a treat for me, 12 days ago whilst shooting in Devon I took the heart clean out of a bunny 02.00 in the morniing at 179 yards whilst standing up to m

Couple of days back at serious dusk. Picture taken the following morning, a young Vixen, and just in case you are wondering she was not in the family way, just the bullet path through her and the damage causing some swelling by the morning. Taken in a very boggy field at 170 yards with a HP, the thump on cantact was incredible but the boom seemed to take forever to get back to me!

I don't know because I'm not into that level of Air rifle target, but I do know a lot/some of the top people use them! Me thinks you need to be fairly serious to head down this route! ATB Deker

You're just copying me aren't you.. Exactly the same Bipod and Thats where I got mine! PLUS £5-£6 P&P I seem to recall
-
Yep! 9-13 swivel with notched legs is mine to. Quick and easy...Lists around £100, Available Brand New from several suppliers for around £75.
-
DS Swivel means the gun can tilt from side to side...example..on a fixed bipod on a slope/uneven ground you could not get the gun straight, on a swivel version on the same ground the bipod will still be on the slope but you can tilt the gun to get it straight. Much better than trying to adjust the legs to a fraction on an inch..then to find a leg starts to sink! This is simple tilt of the gun. Left and right movement is still limited. And yes..they are great..it makes it almost unfair on the quarry! I have the 9-13 swivel with notched legs, brilliant on ALL my guns!

Sparrows and starlings are no longer on the general licences for England. Therefore you cannot shot them in England, although they can still be shot in Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland.

Quick Bipod Guide... The 6-9" are designed for benchrest shooting The 9-13", benchrest AND fieldwork prone The 12-25", rough fieldwork and sitting position If you only ever target shoot on a range buy a fixed bipod, for all other applications ALWAYS buy a swivel! By far the most popular is the 9-13 swivel!! This is only a GUIDE, it's a free world...you are allowed to do whatever you like with each one! The standard fitting on most bipods, including the Harris is to the forward stock stud. Other fitting are available to suit certain stocks, barrels, etc

The boys on the Falcon forum will be able to give you those answers, they are a pretty good lot! My FN19 has been running FAC for years at around the 25-26ft lb and I get 30-32 full power shots. I think at 12ft lb is was meant to be about shots but I have not checked for years. As a matter of interest here's some pics of a Falcon magazine a pal has just custom built for me!
