Indeed they are, but they are trade only, they don't sell retail, so it is very unlikely they will sell them to you, almost any RFD should be able to order them for you though!

Hatsan 125 Sniper In 135 Stock
Deker replied to Springer89's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I'm no expert on Hatsan airguns, but I was under the impression the only difference in the 125/135 was the stock, so both should fit! If there is a gap one side try and adjust it evenly. -
They are without doubt of limited use for many people but they do have their uses, I still have a few but it certainly goes back more than a year or two since I used them. They can be very useful for smallish close quarter quarry (birds/rodents) or in confined spaces, in the US for snakes as well. Remember you can also get these in WMR. I know of a Gamekeeper who rates them highly for rats in the rearing pens, and another Pest Controller who swears by them for use in roof spaces! Suggesting they are a folly and nothing more than a historic showpiece is a tad OTT!

gun ownership is a right you are intitled to if you pass the criteria for sporting purposes you won't get it for home protection and i wouldn't mention that again if I were you I certainly wouldn't use one for home protection, as it's not lawful. I was merely saying that in my opinion, it should be. But that isn't why I'm a member on here. As I understand it's quite a controversial subject, I think it's best to leave it there. Words, their use and the order they are said............. Using a rifle/gun/knife/screwdriver/etc/etc is perfectly lawful for home protection in the

Fair comment, I'll try to breath a bit slower!

Off you go again, lets simply ignore the questions in #24 and talk about something else! Obviously it was too difficult to back up your wild statements? And shooting bolting rabbits with a rimfire? That it is nowhere near as hard as you appear to think! Don't judge everyone by your own standards! You really need to stop reading so much and get a FAC, then at least you can talk from experience rather than what you read or heard down the pub. Deker I'm really not the one who's picking out threads and going off on rants here. You say I'm simply ignoring your questions in post

Sounds very odd to me. I'm sure we will all be interested to know the outcome if the OP ever gets to the bottom of this one!

It was a private woodland that the public can access, my Garden is private but the public can access it if they try hard enough. It was not a Public Park? That case was a complete joke, a waste of public funds and thrown out, as anyone can see who reads the article.

Read my post!

Yes Deker, exactly the same. Wood with public access, public park, both areas of public access. True, the judge did tell the police to stop wasting public money but only after the women had been arrested, questioned and put through how many weeks / months of torture by the possibility of going to jail until the judge threw it out. Above you questioned me as being ridiculous for even suggesting that someone might use a blank firing pistol for gun training in a public place but now you're suggesting that it was ridiculous that they were arrested for doing so. At least take a consiste

Although quashed on appeal, these two women were convicted of just such a thing. http://www.ourdogs.co.uk/News/2007/February2007/News090207/gundog.htm Come on Charlie......... The circumstances of that are nowhere close to letting go with a starting pistol in a Public Park, and the Judge basically told everyone to ***** off, and stop wasting his time and public money!
-
I've seen people in parks around here with dummy launchers before. launchers are not starting pistols, but launchers in Public parks are not common round my way either Like I said above, not everyone who enjoys country sports lives in the country or near their shoot / private land they have permission to use. so, do they walk down the high street letting go with a launcher/starting pistol. That said, no I don't advocate taking a starting pistol into a public park You were the only one who has ever made suggestion of the rather incredulous activity of wondering into your local Public pa
-
I think that is precisely the opposite of what he is saying!?! A few edited posts, I rather think the ONLY person here making any suggestion about carrying/using a handgun/starting pistol in a PUBLIC park is Alsone. What has public use got to do with this thread, I don't see anyone suggesting they were going to! You may just as well say it isn't a good idea walking into your local PUBLIC park and shooting pigeons, or suggest it isn't clever walking into a bank wearing your balaclava because it's cold, and showing the carving knife you just bough
-
Alsone...are you seriously suggesting people rush to the local PUBLIC park and start blatting off starting pistols to train their dogs?
-
Crumbs...someone seems to be making a serious effort to catch/poach the fox!
-
If you intended to sell it or transfer it in any way then yes it would have to be re-proofed, The gunsmith is likely to insist on it before handing it back to you. It's to cover his back as well as yours. The old chestnut rears its head again.......... Unless something has changed recently there is no legal requirement to proof any gun for the simple act of shortening the barrel if you want to sell it. The phrase is materially weakened, or words to that effect, cutting a barrel has not, per se, been showed to materially weaken it. This debate has gone on for many years a

Seems a bit strange to me, are you sure this is nothing to do with the farmer/owner? Who's thing is snaring, especially poaching/snaring ...... and then not checking? This is not a widespread pastime in my part of the world? Just seems to have the odd question mark to me. Am I missing something?
-
I have to say I'm with cc here, but there are one or two who want to push the boundaries, and I can't really knock that ...(but just maybe they have too much time on their hands )
-
Alsone.......I think you need to calm down a bit. Be careful what you guarantee, and just how many people wonder into their local PUBLIC park with a starting gun of any colour and start letting rip with it to train their dog?
-
Nothing wrong with that, many people start rabbits with a Clay O/U shotgun for that reason, for many that is fine and always will be.
-
Most people use an O&U so don't worry about it. Not quite sure why people are trying to put you off them. A S by S is a good traditional game gun but apart from a few people on pheasant shoots you're unlikely to find people using them. I'd say more than 95% of rough shooters are using O&U. In fact a little known fact is that multiple world clay champion George Digweed does quite a bit of pigeon, crow etc shooting, with an O&U..... One of those rare videos: ..and shotguns were designed for rabbits and birds. There's no doubt that rimfire is cleaner but
-
To be fair that is a valid comment, I had thought about that as well. Whilst the shotgun certainly has a place for rabbits, I have to admit I reach for one of my rimfires FAR more often when after them.
-
:hmm: A 12g O/U is common for clays, but as regards punch that is more down to the cartridge. Many would use a 7.5 or 8, usually 30 or less for general clays. For skeet, a 21, 9 is not uncommon. Quarry work usually requires different cartridges and a 30/32 5 will work well for most rabbits, all be it noisy, which will possibly present other issues. Too much punch , well, if you use a heavy cartridge very close you will not have much bunny left to eat, but 12g is common(ish) for rabbit, and if it is particularly close and you want to eat it just aim off a bit, not too many face thi

...yep, what is that, is it a specific legal definition?
