you have you doubts on the 308,buy the 30-06 then in the past 5 years i have dropped the two moose and one elk with my 308,no issues. all neck/head shots. the dozens of deer i have shot, the few heart/lung shots i have had a few runners but when opening them up,no heart was left or even no lungs. they ran a max of 100yds. the head/neck shots on the deer, they dropped like a stone

to be perfectly honest with you,i aint a ballistics kind of guy,the data make sense and the shorter barrel gives you less killing power. my rifle has a 20inch barrel.its dropped everything i have shot.i have every faith in the 308 round. i havent even once thought i need to change too something with a bit more omph if you were to offer to buy my rifle i would say not a fckn chance in hell. you know where you will be hunting, you know the type of shots you will be taking. what grain of bullet are you thinking of using? that will also make a difference to the stopp

me personally would buy a 308,thats what i use on moose, elk, deer and wild boars. i am using 165gr and its drops em right there.i do miss my norma 180gr bst bullets.308 ammo is cheap enough to buy and so is 30-06 i mostly take head/ neck shots.i dont think i have ever taken a shot passed 250m and the two kills that come to mind have dropped like a stone. as for wild boars, the 308 drop em,but i have also got a 7.62x39 for close up pig hunting. at the end of the day, bullet type and bullet placement is crucial.also you have to get comfortable tak

as much as love wax jackets but that would be like wearing a suit of 3/4inch plywood over here in winter

no can do fella my friends reputation will be at stake and its against his buying clause to re sell. all these big name companies do lots for outfitting services when they buy equipment. one sitka FB page had an outfitter re selling and sitka caught him, that ended promptly i am still looking at paying full price for sitka,i dont know but i seem to visually prefer their gear
-
50% off but i still feel its a rip at that price

i wish i could help some of you out,but i am afraid not. my issues is hunting in sept/oct is still relatively warm and wearing the cold weather gear is too much. i am more in need of cold weather gear for late nov/dec/jan/feb i aint in a position to be buying more outfits than my missus just priced up the yukon jacket/pants and insulated duck down jacket $1500 CAD ?
-
if you are thinking of doing a breakfast bap food van to capture the market place dont fink its going to work mate
-
i think you hit the nail on the head. the whole range is lightweight and all about layering up. i was personally looking at getting the yukon, only because its water/windproof and then i discovered it aint lined.$600 for a anorak??then i would need the puffa jacket for insulation, cause its fckn freeing over here, then the pants which again aint lined. i can get this stuff 1/2 price but i still dont think its even worth it. i am thinking the sitka fanatic jacket and bibs, cause they are both lined /insulated. i personally dont think sitka or huiu will la
-
how do you find the kuiu jacket? i browsed their kit and its a layering system which works out damn expensive for me and i need the layers to keep warm. my friend gets the kit at a significant discount and we are looking at bulk ordering need some advice before i jump

soooooooooooooo i wonder what the difference would be by being held under the mental health act than the terrorism act
-
so thats a london tube ride then
-
you would think thats the correct approach but the authorities in north america dont see the fckn obvious solutions the hunting laws over here are so damn complicated, its almost a battle trying to stay legal. the hunting laws are clear cut back in the UK
-
one hunter here in sask plugged a whitey x mulie,he reported the kill to the COs and lost his hunting for a year. the hunting laws dont accommodate for x species so its an illegal kill...............sigh
-
we also have whitetailed deer breeding with mule deer which leads to complications if you are caught with a dead one within the eyes of the hunting laws

Wish i could fly over and join ya matey
