  1. 6 in half choke, 5 or 4 in full choke and a SPSG close to hand for Charlie. Cheers, D.
  2. If you do freeze them, freeze for 2 weeks, although I do give mine fresh rabbs and squirrels sometimes. It's what they'd eat in the wild, guts and all! Cheers, D.
  3. Once stayed on a camp site near there called "The Warren". It was lifting with rabs! Few years back mind. Cheers, D.

    Hunt Balls

Us and them mate, enjoy though! Cheers, D.
  5. MY VET SAYS UP TO 42 DAYS YOU CAN HAVE AN ABORT JAB. Think your vet needs retraining the whole point of this jab is to stop anything developing not for aborting...42 days works out at just over 5weeks...dogs carry for 9weeks Or in case, if she was having a belly full you could decide to abort after a scan at 40 days or if only having a small litter, ie 3 or 4, and you had good homes for them, you could then decide whether to have the litter or not. That's what I did and I'm delighted I did. Cur pup is showing great promise and is a joy to train. Cheers, D.
  6. Asda, 2 pairs reading specs, all grades, 2 for 2 quid! Cheers, D.
  7. Will; I can't believe ye've actually spoken from true experience, At Last! But ye almost cost me a mouthful of Jameson! FFS be careful! DF; Accepting that ye Really mean 'What do us people, in here, mostly do' ....? It might expand things if ye allow for 'Pest Control' and 'Mouch'. While I'm sure most " Mouchers " would like to consider themselves 'freelance pest controllers', I'm equelly sure that most Pest Controllers enjoy the odd mouch too I'd probably feel most comfortable between there, somewhere, myself. Unless, of course, ye want to stich in catagories for "
  8. Top job, obviously did the biz! Would you know where I can get mesh that thick but in 1" square size holes please? Ta in advance, cheers, D. Your local wireworkers should sort you out. For that size mesh, unplated, 8' x 4' you will be looking at about £20 a sheet. Thanks mate, am in Cornwall so NOBODY local! Cheers, D. PS Onlne for stuff a lot of the time.
  9. About 25 or so years ago I used to buy jabs from someone who is often maligned on this site. I found him a reasonable man, I paid 3 quid a go and sold them to my mates at 6 quid to cover the 500 mile round trips worth of juice. Got all the gear (in date) needles, saline etc. Good for the dogs rather than no jabs but no good if you want to put them in kennels or use your local vet. No excuses, i was only a lad then. Cheers, D.
  10. Any builders merchant, about a fiver or less. Possibly 2 quid if your lucky! Cheers, D.
  11. Looking good mate, forget the worming unless obvious problems. Keep them clean, warm and entertained and they'll reward you no end. Best of luck with your ferreting career. Cheers, D.

  13. Feed "my" robins with mealworms on the bird table. Can just about get them to "come to hand" but can't get a pic at the same time! Got youngsters now, better pics soon, hopefully. Cheers, D.

    Bi-Pod

Can get a cheapy plastic clip on jobby from Flea Bay, delivered from about a tenner. Ideal for airgunning or practising with a rifle. See if you get on with it then by a proper one. HTH. Cheers, D.
  16. If your gonna get quite a few, take a back pack and get the guts out soon as. An extra half pound of guts soon adds up if you've got 20 odd on your back! Cheers, D.
  17. Fished Loch Ken once only, got better pike but not as good bream. My first trip to Castle Loch I caught eleven bream to five and a half pounds when the record was just over nine pounds. I thought they were all like that! Cheers, D.
  18. Mine are quite attracted to the watering can I keep by the run, full or empty! Cheers, D.
  19. Humanely. No idea why she went down sick, didn't have a post mortem but she ate, lived, slept etc with the others who are all OK. I've been out checking the feckers every couple of hours or so since yesterday, believe me. Thanks for concern everyone. Cheers, D.
  20. Never used to feel like this but I'm grieving over the loss of my best (and favourite) ferret, Nancy. 3 years old, great worker, great character and as gentle as as a lamb. OK yesterday, off her legs and looking bad this morning, trip to the vets but no improvement this afternoon, worse this evening so she's now gone to the great warren in the sky.
  21. Tuesday now Ditch! Cheers, D.
  22. Castle Loch at Loch Maben used to, we used to go up there in the closed season in England. It's a good bream water, near to Caeverlock Wildfowl Trust. It's only about 40/50 miles from you tops. Enjoy if they still do it. Day ticket water too. HTH. Cheer, D.
  23. Ali was the best over the years but my fave was Marvellous Marvin Hagler, he could knock 'em over. Cheers, D.
  24. 'Morning Ditch, got a Ryobi 30cc Strimmer/Brushcutter with 28" Hedge Trimmmer adapter about a year ago from Screwfix Direct. £149.99 delivered within 2 weeks. Good kit, still going strong after a year with no service and a numpty like me using it! Don't know if you can get them delivered over there and how much it would cost in Urines, but I'm chuffed with it. HTH, cheers, D.
