  1. Still bloody driving instructors who think because they are teaching someone to drive, every other road user should be inconvenienced!
  2. Think they are called Dryads Saddle or something like that........and young speicimins are edible as far as i know. But always check and identify first......! Good post Rolfe. I know an old Special Forces chap who tells me there are about 3,000 different species of fungi but you can only (safely!) eat about 300 of them. Good luck. Cheers, D.
  3. Bloody right! I had helluva job getting the Racing Post yesterday as my local garage was closed!
  4. Don't forget having petrol driven tools!, Strimmers, chainsaws, mowers etc. It's all part of being a man! Cheers, D.
  5. Come to Cornwall mate, no closed coarse season! Cheers, D.
  6. If allowed to stay in season too long (no data on how long is too long, although a conservative estimate of over 2 weeks!) jill ferrets become anaemic with all the possibilities of problems that can incur with this condition. I took my jill to the vets the other week for the jab to bring her out of season. A very reasonable £18.42p I thought?
  7. You can choose your friends but you can't choose your relatives! Cheers, D.

    Have your say!

When it boils down to it, regardless of race, colour or creed, a good person is a good person and an assehole is an assehole whether they are police, immigrants, people in your local or your neighbours etc etc. The old phrase "Don't judge a book by it's cover" is something I learned many years ago.. Cheers, D.
  10. Right mate, didn't get the connection.. Seen Shogun Assassin several times. Classic! Love the kid in the pram. Cheers, D.
  11. Proud to be English although sometimes I cringe at what we English do. It's inherently built in, I'm rather proud to say!

    Trolley

was thinking the same mate, out on sunday trying to lug a box of ferrets, me quickset basket, me bag of purse nets and locators stuff, and a shovel gets me aching, something along the lines of a fishing trolly, big wheels to handle the fields etc, may not be able to use it on every occassion, but if it was used sometimes it would be a help, plus on the way back with 20 rabbits or so Be a pain having to put a pound coin in every time you wanted to go out! Sorry.
  13. well everything i have ever read claims they are immune to it , as far as i know thats correct Anything healthy that you shoot, the ferts will love, de gut and freeze them for a fortnight ideally the defrost properly before you feed them to the ferts. Alternativeley, just chuck it in fresh! 2 points of view in one post. Devil's advocate! Head down for a bit! Cheers, D.

    stag

Hope they are incriminating! Cheers, D.
  15. After they've caught one or two they need moving to a different site to be effective.
  16. Read all the pinned sections on here and try to find any local reputable terrier men if you could have any sport with them. It won't be easy though, take your time. Good luck. Cheers, D.
  17. Ditch just Googled Daegorro, no response. Please enlighten me? Cheers, D.

    LOL

    Definately LOL! Cheers, D.
  19. Can squeak a fox OK "by hand" but sometimes it's a different story when you get to the top of a steep hill carrying gun and lamp, maybe several rabbits. Gobs dry, hands dirty/stinking and your breathing a bit heavy. Nice to have the little disc caller on a lanyard round your neck. If you don't need it, it's no extra weight/hassle but if you do, it's there. Cheers, D
  20. Go to an engineers merchants, bearing suppliers, agricutural suppliers/farmers shop etc. and ask for rubber "O " rings. They'll have a selection, just pick the size you need. Hope this helps. Cheers, D.
  21. I think he is called that anyway Surely he's first name is Abel?
  22. Not as elaborate as Sean's but marinated in red wine is a classic venison dish. Cheers, D.
  23. Now that sounds like a plan. Will try that tonight. They are very good close brothers, so it could just work. Thanks again to all the sugestions Matt Last year I didn't block the drain holes up properly after cleaning my ferret run. Lost ferrets at 12 noon Tues. Put posters up around etc and looked around for about 4 hours. Midnight my hob was back in the run. Result! Kept looking and calling regularly for the next few days without luck and had given up hope for the jill so got a replacement from MT on the following Monday morning. Within 30 mins of putting her in the run the local
  24. Plenty of socialising with yourself and other ferrets, loads of grub, comfortable quarters, loads of talking to and handling, bit of time and TLC as Kay says and I reckon 2 weeks should see you on the up side. Good luck, cheers, D.
