"Might" be out the Troy dog?
-
Intresting...
-
I'm surprised none of the protection dog breeders have not used Buck to straighten out there lines and add a bit of size and speed into there lines...fekk the pedigrees and get some decent genetics back into the breed, stop all this hip problems and slopey backed shite we see all the time. I always said that to Ray, he'd be a great starting point to straighten out them slopped types... I like Buck personally admittedly I like him across a nice sal x for my own personally work plus I really think the collie/sal/collie mix well and it the type I keep so in-realty be a bigger type than the ty

If that's the case it sounds like a selling pitch?, Iam sure you'll narrow it down on here regarding the bitch it's out of.... How old is the dog he brought and what was the dam?
-
Waley's leave them to it...

That pups growing like the grass... Don't even look out of place play with the might "Buck"

What do really need as a guard? Me nothing ain't got shit to take dog is in the house, BUT I think most people would be more than happy with a little russle or yapping lap dog as a deterant, these to me are alittle more specialised imo, other want a fcuk off thing sitting on a chain that would bite anything in reach to me that ain't a true guard that an accident waiting to happen

Sub leave the poor fukcer to it, it ain't needed... people turning up at his place for themselves judge the dogs yourself, always have a trial with ANY adult dog and if your happy part money then company.. Simple!

Calling The Police To Let Them Know You're Lamping
Moja replied to j1985's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Iv to ring ahead even with the dog because it's such a heavily shooted area and plus then to carry a little something just incase I drop a few bits , I ain't a lover of the old bill.. But if I don't and get a tug trying to explain to the keeper and the old land owner would be to much and worth more hassle than it's worth and just might lose me that little place, two min phone call I'd do it.... -
Kills a kill mentality for ya... Decent always ment less kills but quality over quantity !

That's does look appatiseing... Looking forward to game myself, not really a fan of rabbit but love venison maybe 3/4 days a week through the season can't beat it, I enjoy cooking as much as eating it venison stew mash and turnip dumplings and good spoonful of horseradish! Could eat it now

Cracker of a big dog, and trained to the hilt I liked him. His back legs moved a little out wards when in full stride anybody else notice that, Certainly wouldn't be messing with that, that leg hold he had right into the back of the knee, don't thinking you'd be trying to walk off again when it let go

Best of luck what ever happens.

Can be done easy enough seen it loads of time seen people keep all the males back 5/6 at time. Personal myself iam hopeing to have the pup for the next 10years + so I get one and just try to get as much into to one pup for the first 12/18 months build up a close bond plus mine live in the house so there part of everyday life, Iam more of a one dog type of man get another in when's ones getting on for 7/8 ish or depending on injury ect that way Iv not got a house full of dogs always sort of an oldie and younger one, or like at the moment just one middle aged, What ever works for you,
-
Just hope Iv as half as much go at your age pal..

Mine get full frozen rabbits, guts feet skin on and heads the full thing. Not a thing left when finished

It that easy these day to sort fleas out, why spray them with jays? I heard it all but don't mean iam going to dip them in a barrel of used oil to treat mange.... I rate it around the garden ect, and when I used to have kennels I used it also... But it's abit over priced these's days go to a farmers shop and buy big bottles of disinfection washes for a fresh smell

I Just Couldnt Help Myself, I Just Had To Try It.

I've had 5 month old pups catch myxie rabbits whilst out mooching by day, and I usually take pups ferreting by the time they are 5 months old, but I think that is quite different to running on the lamp, at night, when the pup will be less aware of the lumps and bumps in the ground, fences, obstacles etc. If my 5 month old pup was handling itself well by day, out ferreting, and showing real keenness out mooching, not afraid to dive in for a catch when a rabbit is bolted by the terriers from cover, then I might just consider taking it out on the lamp, but only if the land was as safe as can poss -
He seems to throw a lovely stamp of a pup!

Roy that's fine in my eyes, you've a dog that suits you on all quarry you want why can't you then breed of it... It's been honest and if a lads shows an intrest in say a pup you just tell him they ain't single handed dogs on the said quarry and truthful, mate of mine has a weaton/bull/gh x beddy/gh/whip type thing strongish bitch 24"/25" to look at her you'd think no problem but she won't got bit and come back screaming, but my mates happy with her for everything else and he's taking taking litter of her next spring cause she ticks the boxes for him and to me their nothing wrong with that imo
