  1. The ones I help with are ideal for pups, especially the more strong willed pups. They aren't chased about so if you walk by with a pup they don't take any notice and excite it. And if you walk through them they follow or crowd round the pup and scare it
  2. Not mine young man, I'd remember.... If the other half was something durable like a collie or sal they'd be alright. If not they'd probably be shite ?
  3. Yep of course ? but a few round me aren't like you. Its just easier to keep them on leads and stick to the edges, or just keep away. That's what I mean it depends on the situation. And I meant chasing difficult sheep on the bike, not particularly bad farmers. Was a fella on something recently clipping heavy ewes arses, thought that was daft?
  4. I know mate, wasn't either. Just saying it depends on the situation. Personally wouldn't even of done what bird did, looks bad
  5. Not talking about running through them (not deliberately anyway) mate, just the way mortons talking you'd not get much done on some land. Haven't seen this clip but I agree with sheepchaser...
  6. They know a dogs taking no notice mate, some see all sorts of dogs regular. Also folk make the mistake of only showing their dogs the local sheep (their sheep to the dogs mind) nowhere near as tempting as a hill sheep or confusing as a herdy lamb etc
  7. Depends on the sheep(and farmer) doesn't it, aren't all wild. You've also got farmers chasing f**k out of them with the bike/dog and catching them with the dog etc all more stressful than a steady dog passing
  8. You asked for advice/criticism and they've said get a whip and ferret, and enjoy the sport for a good few seasons. How are you going to breed good dogs and "improve" them if you don't know one end of a whippet from the other? When this carry on is over, have a look on gumtree pets4homes etc whippets are "in", the world and his wife is breeding them. Same with ferrets
  9. ? Yeah think Platts a bit bigger and doesn't wear knee high boots and pink nail polish...
  10. No a 1st cross. Must be some size, looks big when Platt is holding it
  11. Starlings here mimic curlews and quack like ducks. Bird life is picking up and arriving here, love it
  12. They are saluki lurchers but the old dog didn't look like one, he means mate
  13. Did you get a deep cavity search out of it?
  14. @MR TEA POT stays with him rabbiting
  15. One of Plummers projects recreating them
  16. Your old name Penny something?
  17. Just watch the classifieds you'll get something like that ? Prob being picky but they don't look anything like that woolly saluki type on DD
  18. An example of what I mean was on the TV recently, four 4x4's full had gone to a cafe being dicks, so the owner phoned the police and RSPCA saying hare coursers were in the area ?? they caught one and found a dumped dog. For every good lad/lass there's shit loads like that
  19. There's more people adopting pets here as well
  20. Those sort of c**ts don't do anything on their own, so the folk he was with must be just as bad and whoever he lives with etc
