Don't walk through them mate - Runem ?

Wonderful ........... 20,000 straight to the top of the council housing lists, using the NHS, disproportionately using the school system and, still the illegal immigrants are allowed to cross the channel, still people are doing their best to stop foreign criminals being deported. This government look like they've lost control of who's coming in. But, what does my opinion matter eh, I've only paid taxes since I was 16 yrs old

Yes, I find it interesting how it's called different things in different places - I'm a Berkshire lad originally. To us it was always breakfast, lunch and dinner - Dinner being your evening meal around 5 or 6pm. We never did supper but, for some reason fish and chips from the chip shop was always called a fish supper or a chippy tea

I've been craving a fish supper just like that for about 2 weeks - with some pickled onion vinegar on the chips

No one will ever turn that place or those people civilised overnight - that'll take a lot of time and effort. When some of those people come here and bring their old ways with them, they carry on in secret because they know it's illegal. Now that western troops are leaving, those types of Afghan will just crack on again - it'll be gays thrown off buildings and beheadings in the market square soon. I stand by what I said earlier - there will be a short period of calm then, it'll descend into its modus operandi of medieval chaos under religious tyranny.
-
Of course I believe it - that's how they are. This thread isn't about old British Empire building or, the British militaries involvement in other countries (much of which was requested in one way or another). ........ It's about Afghanistan and, the fact is that nothing good will come of them being left to their own devices. Some of them might like a slower pace of life but, that doesn't have to translate into a strict religious legal system, young girls being married off, boys being buggered, women treated like slaves - I'd bet good money that most of them don't want th

With each other - they're a feudal bunch of nutters. They'll start remembering grievances from way back and then, little mobs will start looking to settle those scores. They won't be in joy for long - they'll soon f**k it up. It's why the place still looks like it's only 2 steps away from the stone age.
-
If they get left alone to do their own thing now, I don't think peace will last for long - I reckon they'll start looking to settle old scores and, violence will kick off internally.

I like it similar - with an egg on top instead of cheese.

It's been a long week at work so, I knocked up a quick quiche with some bits that needed using. Duck eggs, sweet chilli sausages, swedish meatballs, red onion, green pepper, cherry tomatoes and some grated cheddar.

Global Warming, Making Covid seem insignificant.
Jonjon79 replied to sandymere's topic in General Talk
Honestly - probably not. I think you hit an age where you've seen so many injustices like this that you're expecting to be let down again. Personally, I'd like the bleeding hearts ignored and the criminals sent home - let them appeal from where ever they can from at their own expense. -

There you go - should've left with 50 foreign criminals but, left with just 7 after the likes of Dianne f***ing Abbott got involved. That's 43 imported scumbags that are still here to cost us money and/or just crack on with their criminal ways. That was tea last night mate - I couldn't handle a breakfast like that before work.

Pork and cider sausages, bacon, mushroom, tomato, tiger loaf fried slice, beans, duck egg, hash browns, black pudding and white pudding

I got stuck into the rum last night so, this is going down fast today.

A nice bit of fillet steak from the butchers for tonight, in a surf n' turf kind of dinner I actually got the missus to eat hers cooked like mine and, she liked it
-
And this one from somewhere in Devon - it's a golden bitter. It's got a slight apple taste - it's nice enough but, I do prefer the Ramsbury one.
-
The butcher has been stocking locally brewed beers for a while so, I thought I'd grab a couple while I was in there today - this is a nice pale ale, brewed just down the road in Marlborough

I'm not a fan of insurance companies, especially car insurance companies - legalised robbing b*****ds that penalise you if you use the service that you've paid for. Feck me, they'll even try to penalise you if you've been in a bump that wasn't your fault and didn't end up costing them. And don't get me started on the excess charges The missus got her knickers in a twist 10yrs ago when I f****d off our home contents insurance - ever since, we've been putting that money in a separate account. So far we've used it for a tumble dryer, a cooker and a laptop screen. ...
