    Next was the HW77k .22 with a Niko Sterling Diamond 3-9x42 - this scope has a No4 dot reticle that I've always liked - nice n' simple. Because the rifle is .22 and, the scope doesn't have adjustable parallax, I'm using it on x4 mag but, again, I'm quite liking that I spent a while checking the zero, then shot a couple of 15 shot groups at 30yrds.     It was about time that I tried out the 2 rifles that I swapped for my HW100 and, where better locally than Black Cat. ....... The morning started out fine and sunny but, we were forecast a bit of rain around midday so, the covered shooting bench would be ideal - that's exactly what happened. Plus, there's always a good bunch of lads down there ........ As it happens, Dave was down there today with my '100 - he's been liking it set up with his Photon.     From what I know of a few of the farmers round this way, a change to the GL won't stop them from carrying on as they always have done. ......... If they've got pigeons on their fields, they'll shoot them. I don't think that the majority of the police and locals will be that bothered either - you only have to drive 10 minutes from my house and it's like a scene from Hot Fuzz

    Not all of us Dan - I only shoot air rifles but, I know a fair few shooters that don't want to see a ban on any field sports. ......... I don't want to see any of it banned - crack on as you are and enjoy it.

    You can get the parts that you'd need from a company called Best Fittings but, you'd have to make sure that the cylinder is less than 5yrs old or, has been inspected and recertified within the last 5yrs - if not, a dive centre won't fill it for you. Also, as already said, you don't want to use oxygen in a PCP rifle. Apart from being illegal, it's also combustible - the tiniest bit of oil or grease and oxygen at that pressure could cause an explosion.     I reckon they're already f****d at the ballot box because of this whole Brexit fiasco mate ? From reading some of the bits of on the GL stuff, it looks possible that we'll end up with something very similar, if not the same - just a bit of word juggling to appease the lefties. .........
