  2. Spot the camera on the bottom pic, had it out a few months in a good hotspot, had a reported sighting nearby during the time it was there, and it’s failed to trigger once in three months, blank SD card apart from two shots of my mug as I took it down ouch, ?
  3. Oh no you don’t back to the top, my day today, up at 6 weather so foul even the dogs told me to piss off, so off to work, concreting rat holes around a factory, little mooch about trying to get a pic of a multi on my way in, see them in these woods but recon the rain last nights put them down, chopped more fire wood then changed a few cameras on the way home
  4. I recon depending on we’re he is we could be talking something with BIG shoes, but after reading the big cat thread he’s more scared to say it than go into the woods ??
  5. I was out with the dogs in a wood a few years back on the outskirts of Bristol, come into a clearing were the sun was beating down saw a big old grass snake curled up on a big tussock of grass sunbathing, went to grab it but it shot of into the grass a little pursuit with me on my hands and knees chasing this snake when the fecker stops and I realised it was the biggest adder I’d seen in my life, I grabbed the dogs and bid him farewell, have caught some pretty big grass snakes but be warned they spray you like a skunk f***ing stinks and won’t come off for ages ??
  6. The garden of my house has quite a few, had the plastic engine cover off the bottom of my boys polo engine about 10 years ago chucked it up on the front lawn while I fixed the car a few days later there was a couple of slow worms under it so it never went back on, still there now and in the summer there is always 5/6 underneath it, ??
  7. Found a couple more pics, dogs and pheasants and the roof of a house on the edge of one of the valleys I walked to show the steepness, you can get lost down in some of these gorges proper no mans land and they run through the hills like veins in all directions, I,m still finding new ones after quite a few miles walking ?
  8. I watched a program sometime ago about a fisherman in the English Channel that was pulling up loads of tusks and bones from the bottom of the channel I think he gave up the fishing and just trawls for the tusks now ?
  9. Last one in my lockup, not this particular one but I have the same one in the same colour
  10. Much the same, but I just refuse to give in pain is a frame of mind, I work for a builder so do a variety of things which helps, don’t think I’d want to be banging on a 100 meters a day everyday now ?
  11. Have done but have a modern wife and kids now that don’t share my passions ?used to sell them to a trendy butcher until he started asking for paperwork from defra etc so now use them as bait, it’s one of the few things with magpies that I would just kill because of the damage they do to songbirds etc ?
  12. Well it’s back to work, but never one to miss an opportunity was driving round the factory I’m working on at the moment and saw a little flicker between a load of lorry trailers, 25metres measured ??
  13. I’d never heard of him before this thread popped up don’t think he’ll have much bearing on my life so I,ll just crack on and leave him to whatever floats his boat ?
  14. Looks like he identify,s as a c**t so probably right there ?
  15. Funny little story, as a lad I ended up in borstal and before release we had sort of classes about going back into society and getting jobs etc, when some one raised the question about having a criminal record affecting them getting a job the teacher looked up and said your not here for your honesty, if anyone asks you just lie ???
  16. Makes sense that because there are loads of springs in these deep gorges that one was near a small stream right in the bottom of the valley cheers ?

  18. Those mobile traffic lights and the road signs on a trailer are full of good leisure battery’s and solar panels for anyone that way inclined ???
  19. One day he will shock us all with his own opinion on something ?
  20. We have loads of them round here it’s like a small moving community, they park in a lay-by ,yard or car park but move every couple of days to keep off grid, I see them parked up by me about once a month, I think they must use the canal facility’s, like water points, bins and showers as they never go far just move a mile or so along the canal park up then repeat but it’s always the same vans??
  21. Few more from this morning, anyone any ideal what the little solar panel things are, I’m seeing quite a few popping up in the woods?
  22. One thing I would say and really strongly recommend is no matter what heat source you go for make sure you put a carbon monoxide detector in the back as it takes no time in a small space to be overcome, and the last thing anyone needs is to wake up dead ????
  23. Agree mate I very rarely use my heating as my little wood stove keeps the boat around 25 degrees and it’s around 500 square foot to warm and unless it’s absolutely freezing I usually have a door or window open as well, but it is pretty maintenance free and free heat if you can be bothered to pick up your own wood, I see a lot of those diesel heaters playing up or packing up when people need them most, seems they go for a couple of years then you get problems, another thing people do is fit a small tank and run them on kerosene as it burns hotter and cleaner than diesel and they seem to last a
