  1. Owls here most nights, barn and tawny some nights they are hooting by the time I get back from work at half five and still going when I walk the dogs in the morning around 7, I do have an owl call and some nights can get them really competing ??
  2. Those cameras are a real giveaway, round by my house they fix them to the lamppost outside the nonces houses little round ball cameras ?
  3. Not really fussed mate that one just hangs on the gearstick of my van so was first at hand I use both and on there day either one shoots well enough, I probably have more ott catty,s than ttf so just use them more ??
  4. No Gloucester mate but St Albans has been an active area for years, I think those tracks through the bunker I have put up were on the local golf course there, I also think that cat in the dashcam is a Bengal not the real thing but another example of papers sensationalising things that does nothing to help and just fuels scepticism, they will publish anything without a second look ?
  5. Your always welcome if your ever down this way mate, are you near St Albans ??
  6. To be honest I,m expecting you to give it a miss anyway, but all I was offering was a day or night or both out in an area that has regular sightings and I find kills and talk to locals that in many cases have seen something we can go out and just walk we may find a footprint a fresh kill if we are really lucky get a sighting but most likely we,ll see f**k all but will both hopefully learn a little bit about each other and from each other, ?
  7. I,m not withholding anything mate this has been said from the off I am a tiny cog in a big wheel I find my little bits and peices and pass them on as do many others around the country I share them on here and if you believe or not is up to you and once a year we all have a get together at the RAU in Cirencester and people I have never met before will be there for various reasons and will show you footage they have gathered etc I occasionally meet up with rick for a chat and a bite of lunch to discuss things we are working on and if he has been given anything sensitive he will show me at the ti
  8. Could be or could just be a house cat that’s had an accident ???
  9. The hound thing has been covered a few times before and I think we can agree that the uk is not practical to just run hounds as in Canada and the states but if I get another dog and that’s a big if, I will definitely train it in scat detection as that would work out well here I think ?
  10. Your a long way away mate, but I have offered to take anyone along to a meeting at the RAU, I don’t own or have the rights to show and share everything I,m privy to, but you would get to see things that other people have, also keep up to date with the podcast as that is were the truth will be released first, what people need to understand is I was just like you,I had heard the story’s seen a few grainy pics and didn’t think much more of it, then I found a few things I couldn’t explain so I went looking for answers and for me they have more than been answered I,ve met a lot of weird and wonderf
  11. You can just chip those fire sticks yourself I don’t own one as I’m not that techie, and 200 channels of shite on free view is more than enough for me, but I have seen people unwrap a fire stick and through an app on there phone it’s done in a few minutes ?
  12. Maybe not for you but I,m more than happy with the progress I,ve made personally over that time, yes it would be nice to have live footage and someone from the government telling you it’s ok to believe it’s true, or you can go out and do it yourself like I have and satisfy your own curiosity ?
  13. Living on the boat I notice little changes that I never when I lived in a house and this week it’s the return of the dawn chorus, only one or two at the start of the week but each day getting a bit more noisy when I take the dogs for there morning stroll must be those extra few minutes of daylight we are getting each week that triggers it ???
  14. Same as that mate gave her my house she can’t afford to heat it, so they are also living on a boat but like you I love it especially the weekends when daughter can now take misses shopping and I get to take the nippers out for a nice walk surprising how far I can get out there little legs with the promise of a hot chocolate after ??
  15. It’s another invasive species we have small colony’s of dotted around the uk same as raccoons, estimated population around 5000 but never caught one of those on my cameras either ??
  16. Just keep the water on your left or right hand side depending which way round you go and you should be ok mate ?
  17. Just gone through 4000 images of magpies and fox’s stripping the munti first month all bar the birds avoided it seems the cold weather got them going but still took around 8 weeks to strip it to nothing that’s me at the end trying to look like a quarry worker ??
  18. Sounds like it would tick a few box’s get a cam in there lots of great wildlife even if you don’t get a cat, ??
  19. Simple for yourself maybe, I had to go on a course to use my iPad ?it would be good to set up on a private estate but I still like to sneak in places I’m not meant to be,pics below are inside a working quarry i also use the black led models as the red gives them away so recon that amount of flash might cost me a few cameras I lose one or two cameras a year on average so think I,ll be sticking with these cheaper ones ?
  20. Meanwhile back to the energy crisis 28 degrees swan hatch open all for the price of a cup full of 2stroke and a bit of graft ?
  21. Still a bit more than a £100 trail cam that most of us are using and sandy is implying, the bloke I met lives in the FOD and tests the cams there he had some pretty impressive footage of the wild bore, also showed a clip were he was trying to catch some pigmy elephants they had a clear run through this long grass that was about 6ft tall he set his cams and lights on the run and as they approached you could see the ends of the trunks sticking up and smelling the air they left the path and done a big semi circle around the cameras before rejoining the path just afterwards, if you want to see rea
  22. You,ll believe anything you see in print you silly man, that’s clearly not a trail cam shot it would be in black and white during darkness, I,ve actually met the guy that makes those traps for the bbc, think they work out around 5k plus the cost of the dslr camera, but as long as it makes you feel your proving something please keep enlightening us ??
