I do the same recipe but use vodka, we don't have many sloe,s down here this year but last year was a blinder, this year we seem to have lots of rose hips so I,ll be making syrup, not the same buzz as vodka but really good medicinal property,s plus natural and free

I think magpies do more damage to the songbird population but totally agree with the rest of your sentiment all the songbirds including the swifts in my roof were taken by magpie,s despite my best efforts to shoot the lot of them, I don't normally kill unless I,m eating it with the exception of rats and magpies

really ? we get lots of town foxes round here and I have a few bits of film from my own garden were the local Tom comes along and f**k,s mr fox out of the food bowl they also take it in turn to feed this was happening nearly every night in my back garden last year, though I must say the fox,s I pick up out of town are enormous in comparison to the urban ones so maybe a different diet as well though I do think there would be lots of risk of injury in taking on a cat as they fight like feck especially if trapped or cornered

it would have to be a pretty dopey cat to get caught by a badger but they are an opportunistic hunter and if they stumbled across one that was fecked or not paying attention I would think they might take one but very rarely, I do know of a non excistant animal that seems to, and an area in the Cotswolds that has been having lots of sightings has also had a growing number of domestics and a few dogs disappearing lately ? If you believe in that sort of stuff what do u think it is? sorry

If you are not a brand tart and don't mind trying something new just pop into go outdoors when they have a sale, they always have a big loss leader to attracked you in hoping you will spend more, the year before last I bought a pair of scarpa boots reduce from £150 down to £75 lovely boots, I also have a pair of north face boots that I got the same deal on they are great if your not moving much so I wear them when fishing and they are really warm, I will need a new pair for next winter so I,ll do the same again, three years for £75 -£25 a year if I get three winters then a year wearing them to
