  1. Sorry to do it here but it’s quicker to get a reply, have just been in the woods setting up some more cameras and the floor was covered in these are they edible and what are they called please
  2. I,m so excited about it I can’t stop watching it but it would be reckless to go live without the proper checks first, ??
  3. It’s beyond debate years ago for me mate, many more will be debating it long after I,m gone as I,ve said a clear picture means nothing and many people enjoy to argue more than the subject so it will never be put to bed unless the powers that be allow you to believe it and there’s only a very slow amount of debate and acceptance coming from those quarters ?
  4. The big flaw in that Avenue is how an animal behaves when it escapes captivity as opposed to one that is naturalised, the borath lynx that escaped last year or so killed 7 sheep in very short time, and was caught on camera more than once it killed more than it would need and more than one that has a territory would take, a deer or a sheep will last a native cat a week, it’s why they were much more obvious in the 80s as they simply were not blending in and were adapting on the go but naturalised offspring are taught the pitfalls and challenges by there parents so are less lightly to be seen tod
  5. Remember this conversation for a month, and I can guarantee you it wont stop the debate, every answer just throws up more questions, footprints and tooth pits are far more value in my mind but no one really takes much notice of them because they are not as exciting as watching a cat on a video ??
  6. Mate I’ve just taken possession of a thermal image video that will blow this clean beyond debate, it’s in the process of scaling etc but once confirmed and there is not a shadow of doubt in my mind it’s the real deal It will be going on the podcast site, the guy doing the filming is happy for it to be released as long as the location is kept out which will be honoured but I can assure you that Mackem, foxdropper and the rest of the naysayers will claim it’s a hoax a lie abroad or simply ignore it as has happened from the beginning as I,ve said it’s not about evidence it’s about judging people
  7. That’s good for skin complaints as well mate I make cream using it, ??
  8. Used to buy drums of it from Costco for 17p a litre and whack it straight in the vans happy days ?
  9. Nothing will bring this to a close because of human nature, let me ask you if you had a really rare bird in your garden would you stick it all over the Internet so when you woke up your garden was full of bird watchers or would you take a picture for yourself ?? The animals are at there most vulnerable with young as they stay in an area for longer until the youngster can move on as well, so why would anyone want to announce it?? I can’t emphasise enough how much I don’t care what you or anyone else thinks I do what I do for me and if your happy to listen and go on the journey then fine if you
  10. The main problem is you can’t judge emotion, feelings or honesty on an Internet forum so people tend to judge by there own standards, if you go through life lying about everything and backing your lies up with copy and paste wiki links and photoshop you expect everyone else to be the same, and it’s very apparent that we have quite a few Walter Mitty on here so they naturally assume that I am willing to lie to further some kind of agenda we’re as in truth I,m quite a boring old loner that spends a lot of time in the countryside and am willing to share what I find with others despite the ridicul
  11. Again you would need to take my word for certain things, but I have seen a video recently filmed in daylight as an adult emerges from a hedge and walks across an open paddock followed by 3 cubs all black and I see or here of one or two similar sightings every year the big question is if there are enough to sustain a population or if inbreeding will eventually wipe them out but I think there are still one or two fresh releases most years from the illegal side of it and we have had dna that indicates hybridisation as well which raises the question of the fertility of the young, it’s a long road
  12. Captive and wild are quite different mate I think the only black leopard in captivity in this country that I no of is over 20 but probably a lot less in the wild, you also have to take into consideration the country they are in as they are not always top of the food chain unlike here so probably 10/15 would be a good old age which is why the sightings of today are more than likely born here rather than fresh releases ?
  13. Pretty much what you have highlighted is what the estate agent was warning me against, his words were short term not worth the hassle anymore as it can take upto 2 years to get them out if they won’t go, it could sell in a week or a year so I just thought fri to mon on air bnb will bring in some extra shillings instead of leaving the place empty and earning nothing if it don’t sell in 6 month might look at more long term but for now think that’s a better option, I may be in touch to pick your brains a little as I move forward but thanks for the advice so far much appreciated ?
  14. Daughter is moving out the house this week have a bit of decorating to crack on with then the for sale signs are going up, but as my house is in the city of Bristol a popular destination for stag and hen does and I have a park and ride for buses and trains into the city centre/harbour side right on my doorstep I was thinking of doing a couple of weekend let’s on air bnb just to keep some wedge coming in while the place is empty, so question is has anyone done it, how does it work and what are the pitfalls to worry about ????
  15. Loads of info on the tube seems stick or braise are the preferred methods good luck nice to see it finished ?
  16. I just managed to fix mine for the next 5 years but it was getting sketchy as rates seemed to be rising daily I only owe a small one so when house is sold will pay it off and hopefully have enough to buy another house in a year or so when the arse falls out the market ?
  17. Misses is down looking after grandkids so a quick sweep round the fridge and cupboards found enough for a sausage surprise, leaks, potato’s, carrots, toms, onions, garlic and a few sprinkles from the spice rack should keep us warm and fed for a few days ??
  18. The republicans have the house I think the senate is still to close to call but looking like dems will cling on ?
