    This is why I hate barbed wire! Just got back from taking the dogs for a run, young Zip spotted a rabbit on the other side of a barbed wire fence, I knew what she was thinking and even though I was protesting she couldn’t help herself and took off at full speed, stumbled just before the fence and still tried an awkward jump which left her hanging midriff on the top strand. Memories off a previous dog I lost to wire were quickly on my mind, as I dashed to un hook her. Although the wounds appear very superficial, she cannot put any weight on her hind leg and it is just pure luck she wasn’t

    Cheers mate, I spoke too soon about the whippet, I had to get her to the vets and get her stitched up after she fecked up jumping a wire fence after a rabbit, it was going to be a good day had 22 in 2 hour and had a lot more to go at but they will save and she will be back out in ten day,atb.     Young Zip, now 14 months old, finding a rabbit hiding in a clump, marking it, then when I scared it out caught it. This is happening more and more often as she is maturing, she is a very handy dog indeed, day and night. I couldn’t be happier with how she is progressing, has had no injuries what so ever, and the rock hard ground here really tests a dogs soundness Time will tell just how good she will be, she has some pretty big boots to fill, old Jet boy (R.I.P) was a cracker.

    It’s been so hot here, I shaved young Zip’s hair off so she should be faster taking the power to weight factor into consideration lol. she is quick enough for what I do. A few pic’s before and after (14 months old) 3/4 Whippet DH/GH 21.5 tts

    It could be a blessing in disguise mate, sometimes when running a pup continuously with an accomplished dog, the pup relies on the older dog in situations and they become weak problem areas. Glad to hear she is shaping up. A.T.B with Tilly & the pup

    I use velcro on my mk3 collars they don't come off. Easy to use and clean Cheap as chips, whelping ID collars eBay

    last season I post few pics up in this part and got moved into the quiet section where no one looks...But noticed the ones in the "click" never got moved. Since I noticed that I don't see point in contributing....it's like silent arse licking Nice bag lurcher lad n nice hound wouldent say in the the lick mate I only speak to one person on here lol I just thought I'd put it up as not much going on here Unsociable prick!     Bad luck that mate! Even the toughest dogs can break toes, My Daughters dog out of my bitch broke hers 9 weeks ago Hit it on a rock chasing bunnys, she is 7 mths, (Clean break in a good spot if there is such a thing). All healed now. She uses her for ferreting showing no signs of discomfort, summer here and ground is like concrete. A.T.B with it SB

    At least there is no muscle damage, looks like it will heal ok. Shit luck you are having mate hope it turns around. If you had local anesthetic you could trim the edge make it fresh and stitch.

    Its steeper than it looks in the photo, can't net the bottom holes without falling in the water Thats where they were bolting from, will lamp it this week see how I go. Kass does better in the light when they run slower and can't see lol But Yea she is faster than she looks
