    Glad your happy with her Simon I've finally got my .177 prosport running mint now its going nowhere just needs a good scope to set it off properly I put the kit in you've got, I got it for free when I bought it cos of the safety being jammed on, in the end I had to ream out the safety but its spot on now I fitted a vortek piston seal witch brought the power right up to the magic mark and I've put a fair bit of lead through her too and its bedded in lovely now! got to confess I think the 97's are great rifles though, its a bloody nightmare going out now! atb si

    been on a bit of a spending spree lately so I've been doing a few guvies! was out of town today building a wall for an old bloke I've known for years due to bordom I spent most of the day walling away and gassing as he docent get many visitors, he mentioned something about rabbits but I was head down and didn't really pick up on what he was on about.. I knew there were rabbits there but only seen random ones! I went to put a mix in and one caught my eye, I knew I had the 97 in the boot as I was going to do a house call on the way home . missed a sitter by a days donkey ride, id alte

    horses for courses vm... just bought the rt version, could of got a thermal but I'm happy with the photons! I've watched lads struggle like fcuk with them but if they work for you.. i.e. me and many others why spend more when you can fill your bag with the cheap seats! could just be southerners don't know how to shoot without loads of help

    cheers mark id be lying if I said it went to plan but in fcuking it up it worked out really well... I used me daughters acrylic paints/modern day canvas paint to mix a colour I liked and watered it down so it would soak in! it looked sh!te so I washed it off and it clung to the grain so I rubbed some black over it and repeated it... looked better still so then I let it dry and gave it a few coats of danish oil.. job done luckily theres a bloke we know who can fix stocks back up if it goes horrifically wrong atb si

    some wise words from Simon there tony freeads is a great place to pick up a quality second hand rifle/scope combo! the quality second hand route is a good one as air arms and weihrauch build there guns to last, there are other good makes out there too but its years since I've owned anything else! if you find something you like put a post up and I'm sure someone will point you in the right direction and give you a yay or nay! happy shopping atb si

    thanks Mark it was a brilliant weekend and a effortless time! jimmy is a top bloke who will help anyone out..... if you meet him the first thing youll think is fcuk!! the mans massive!! lol and as for young Ethan he's a great lad and full to the brim with enthusiasm! great lads and a great weekends shooting too... petty about the wind but thats the nature of the beast! atb si

    Did you add the short stroke extension by any chance. I have read of issues with it because the the cocking action on the pro sport. Looking to fit the standard drop in but dubious about the SSE...thanks No I wanted to improve the rifle, not ruin it lol. I fitted the short stroke to my mates ps .177 put it this way I've not put one in mine

    cheers I've had a fair few of the £50 3x9"s always left them on when I've chopped things in to sweeten the deal.... but this one was with ir and parallax... proper bargain

    I believe that price is for a complete tune as well £130 for piston and tune isn't to bad then! its all a bit chasing your tale though by having to up your pre-load and juggle

    cheers Simon got to confess I enjoy stripping rifles and trying to improve them! and this 97 is sweet as a nut now looking forward to the field test tomorrow.... only tried the heavys so far but I'm a big fan of the heavier pellets in .177 atb si

    jaha.... what did you get I recon we should just do swaps Jon.. it'd save us a fortune atb si We should mate - it'd probably save us a small fortune I've gone back to the good ol' TX200hc could of done you a deal with one of them but Ethan would of been little hunter still what cal have you gone for?! Yeah, best not mate - That user name suits him well I've gone for .177 in a walnut stock. ..... I've even managed to track down one of my favourite scopes for it - an original MTC Viper SCB. ...... it's been a good day nice one there a bloody good rifle jon! str
