It's Official, Foxes Are Not Afraid Of Terriers.
Mary replied to neil cooney's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
There used to be a forum Liam about 12 or 13 years ago called "The BullTerrier Times." You'd have loved it, loads of history on the old Irish Staffords etc. It was ran by a lad from London,(I think) called Mario and one day he asked did anyone use their Staffs on the lamp for foxes ? Me and my big mouth replied to not ask such stupid questions because if a Staff could catch a fox then foxes would be extinct. A stupid question. A couple of days later I was exercising about 5 terriers with that pit bull ,Pepper (she was around 30 lbs) when the terriers mobbed a fox in a ditch but didn't hold -
Lol, read names wrong, thought monkey was asking himself for pics.

Few years back I slipped a young whippet on a fox(on the lamp), dog ran up to it, fox stood its ground, spent a few seconds starring at each other and then began to play with one another as if they were old friends, was the strangest thing. Fox pissed off when I approached them. -

So you just breed for £££ then ?3 litters a year for last 5 years, Ching Ching. He ain't trying to better the Plummer terrier. He only wants to line his pockets. That's the sad reality of puppy farms. 15 litters in 36 months, that's an average(ish) litter every 8 or 9 weeks, he's a canine factory. That's some god damn awful maths ?I did say "ish", 36 months(4 weeks in a month) =144 weeks divided by 15 litters is exactly 9.6 weeks, so wasn't far off.there is more than 4 weeks in most months so there is 156 weeks in 3 years (36 months) A litter every 10.4 weeks when there's 52 weeks in a year mu

I'm trying to get my head around this thread, why are people so concerned about having a vet perform this action, is it to have a cert? Why do you need it unless you're selling pups, and to pet owners at that, I'd be surprised if a terrier man was fussed about who done once it's done correctly, or is this action actually policed and people are trying to stay within the law, who polices it?

Neil what would you do without GoogleWhere do you reckon I had to use Google for a post thats based on my opinion ?If you mean the British black Grey squirrels then that's down to seeing them on telly. You stick with Google, I'll stick to my own two eyes. Did you see any in the Century before that?ha, yes I was dreaming then too !. 95 and 86 the year not my age ,Pablo, you still alive? Heavy rumours about that a battalion of terrier men have landed on the shores of Munster armed with spades and shovels, told the locals they only here to fight the Spanish.

When does a terrier man hit his prime? Do you think many do?

DB this is how it is nowadays unfortunately there is/are to me "very few people" who consider the breed of dog and its genetics, I dare say 90%+ breed for ££££ to help or pay for a new car/holiday/house extension, etc. Its not just the D/D site look on Gum Tree,Pets4homes,Preloved,Epupz.Theres an A-Z of breeds and of course the super dooper X breed names I don't need to name, plus I hope the breeding laws are tightened up I'd say these selling web sites have a lot to answer for, they are a massive part of the problem, on done deal imparticular I have come across usernames with multiple litters fr

Will they not kill reds? RacistsThey do kill reds but not in the same numbers, the greys are an available food source all year round.

Lol, you can be quiet the scallywag alright.
-
Lol, you are fake news treeshands, I've not read one post from you lately that is even remotely accurate.
-
They have been reintroduced in my area in an effort to reduce the grey squirrel population and boost the Reds numbers, and they are thriving, and in fact, the grey squirrel is nearly gone, not seen any in ages.

Very sad indeed, old saying "the life of a dog", they referring to this dog, abused her entire short life, and only destined to get worse.

Lol, no thanks, I take most things with a pinch of salt fox dropper, irrelevant to me what he does with his dogs or what goes on in his yard, just thought it was interesting so I posted it up.

Imagine going into another mans yard and shooting your mouth off about his methods, a big no no in my book.

Was looking at some greyhound forums last night trying to figure out why trainers make dogs vomit, it's called bileing, they are trying to replicate what a dog does naturally when they eat grass and then throw up, it's to get rid of unwanted or excess bile, it's recommended you do it every 2 or 3 months, there is actually a tablet or liquid you can get if you don't want to get your fingers dirty. Some state no performance improvement, others claim big performance improvement, but the fact is that it goes on a lot.
