  1. Sandwell Field Sports have .177 in stock or did have because that is what Si and Davy have got.
  2. I must confess this gun just seems right but we will get a better picture over the coming weeks as Si and Davy have both got one for testing and Si has bought his judging by the video. Phil
  3. I would be happy to wear one as I look a twat most of the time so no change there So where from Mark and how much, a link would be useful. Phil
  4. A bit early Mac but nevertheless..........................MERRY CHRISTMAS fellas Phil
  5. I have a feeling this gun is going to sell in good numbers with the two magazine reviews I have seen, the sales WILL follow. Phil
  6. I bought a leather pouch that hangs around the neck, wish I had saved my money. Phil
  7. Just out of curiosity, how many Ultras and Scorpions with you guys have had a reg fitted and if so, does it improve the shot count. A lot of guys on another forum seem to really rate both guns and a lot of them have had them regged and short stoked/ better triggers etc. When you consider the price of both guns, they are still a good price even after being worked on in my book comparing with some other guns. Phil
  8. Just bought a .22 S410 for my son in law. Never used one before but they are well balanced and feel good. TBH had the gun not been for my daughter to get for his Xmas pressy, I would have got it for myself. BUGGER........ Phil
  9. Carrot cake because I could just take cover and eat the cake Phil
  10. Nice shooting David. I used to love real blustery conditions when years ago I did a lot of wildfowling, by hell ducks can fly fast downwind. Phil
  11. I can really understand where you are coming from but the bottom line is the costs involved with the super units you use, I would love one but I just can't afford one at the moment. I was doing a bit of practice with my set up using the Trigger Grip tripod the other night in the garden which works very well but my god it will take some getting used to in the field that is for sure. Long term I want a Pulsar or X-Site or similar but the pension only goes so far, I will be glad when the state pension kicks in, a bit more cash in my pockets then. Phil
  12. Oops ! Sorry there Phil i meant to address Mutley Senior moment maybe I know that feeling only too well Mark Phil
  13. Wow, they are a lot bigger than I thought.
  14. The severe wind has died down today so I will be having a practice session tonight in the garden on some targets before doing anything else. Phil
  15. I agree on reflection, getting rid of the RM8 was a good decision. Phil
  16. There are people out there who love the RM8 and there are quite a few who can't wait to get rid of them. One of the main issues is power drop off, mine was putting out 11.4fp which after about 2500 pellets started to fall quite quickly. I spoke to the importers who said...........it was the air, not full...........pellet type...............my imagination.........faulty chrono. In other words, any excuse but not the gun. When I advised them that a number of other people on the forum were having similar issues, they said that is the problem with forums, talk rubbish My gun dropped down to 9.5
  17. quote no1 . wrong cal no2. wrong stock (its got a fecking big hole in it ) no3. never took you for a sissy no4 . and the most important of all never ever in a million years would that be my choice of weapon I sort of thought that might make you chuckle Mac..............
  18. Me too, a new skill to learn me thinks....
  19. This hobby/sport/way of life, is like many others, a costly one to start off with. No surprise there, being a clay shooter, I know how to spend dosh on gear so this year, my first year back into this side of shooting has been a steep learning curve but nevertheless I believe after making a mistake buying the Rotex RM8, I am now on the right path.........I hope. I finish the year with most of the kit I wanted/needed now being bought HW 100 KT .177 ( Mac's choice of weapon ) Hawk Varmint 4-16 x 44 AO scope 4lt air cylinder & connector Visionking range finder Buffal
  20. I had decided to get an NV system and because of cost, it would need to be a home build. The bottom line is that I just didn't want to build one and found one on ebay that has already been bought by a few guys on another forum with nothing but glowing reports so I coughed up £200 and it arrived yesterday. I have only had the chance to play around in the garden but to be honest it seems spot on. All the batteries are housed in the camera box so nice and neat. The charger plugs directly into the camera box so no battery removal and has short circuit protection for charging. The came
  21. quote ( Good luck with your choice Phil.) My choice was made Mark, it was the HW. Phil
  22. I can only agree with you...........end of. Phil
  23. I have never owned an R10 but before buying the HW 100 KT (which Mac loves) I looked closely at the R10 and for me, the HW has a better magazine, easy and quick to load plus a spare with 14 shots to boot. The other thing I preferred was the side lever, very comfortable and quicker to use. It just did not feel right with the R10 bolt at the back of the action. These are just my observations and we all like different things in a gun plus the fact that both guns sell in large quantity so that speaks for itself. I am very happy with the HW although the higher shot count of the R10 certainly ap
  24. A great many people swear by them as they can be tuned to the hilt so making a good rifle a really great rifle. I am thinking of the Ultra .22 regged with a bigger cylinder for ratting, they just feel great. Phil
