  1. I agree Mitch, nothing much to it, it is just getting familiar with the gun.
  2. Must admit my old 100 was most accurate with bisley mags but can't remember what shot string it produced but I think it was around 11.3fpe. If I am totally honest, if the rifles is doing what I expect, I rarely check chrono readings, I know I know, I should but I don't. Phil
  3. Time for a gin and tonic boys..........................................and time to chillllllllllllllllllll Phillllllllllll
  4. BSA bag every time and the HW100K / KT fits in the smaller size with mod attached. Internal size on mine is 39'' https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BSA-Tactical-Airgun-Bag-Carbine-Padded-Rifle-Case/292732580817?hash=item442838b3d1:m:mKf1wtwZauQcInVJECfYz7A:rk:2:pf:0 Phil
  5. There you go matey. The little Atlas bipod copy is not fantastic but it is good for £15 Phil
  6. I would buy both a drink. I generally buy my perm owners a Xmas hamper for around £20, the sort you see in garden centres, then I also put in a bottle of good white wine and a good red wine possibly a bottle of port depending on the perm, rarely all three bottles. I stopped buying a bottle of shorts as it doesn't capture the Xmas spirit and must say they all seem to prefer the little hampers / canvas bags. Take your wife and stroll around a good / big garden centre and you will find some nice stuff. Phil
  7. I have stayed quiet so far Mitch as I simply have not had the opportunity to use it as we have been clay shooting quite a bit because Trish, my wife, has got a couple of new (but old) clay guns which I am in the process of sorting stock configuration etc ready for her to use on holiday next week. I am waffling. I have just come back from a ratting session, in fact the worst ratting session as I saw one rat and missed it due to trigger pressure being lighter than the Impact, must sort that and match it as close as poss to the Impact. The first range test with JSB RS worked out well
  8. The weight of the Impact almost doesn't matter because the balance of the gun that makes a huge difference. With the rifle being shorter than the HW100, it keeps ALL the weight between your hands so the feel is of a much lighter gun which can, in my humble opinion, be held on target for longer and easier. The sits on the scales at 3.2kg but you will think it is less. I have found NO other rifle that feel so good to use as the Impact but that is just me and others may not agree. It must be said however that the new crown, whilst being a full length rifle feels so light in the hand and again the
  9. The real issue with Co2 is the fact that power is affected by temperature you are shooting in so plenty of zero checks needed. Not a problem if just plinking but it needs to be right for shooting quarry. Buy a pcp which is far better for what he wants. Phil
  10. The Impact owner club is getting bigger by the week. Sub 12 or fac but whichever..............................welcome to the party when it arrives. Phil
  11. Just found out, there is a new 'Bell Target' shooting venue near to me starting up so if it becomes a regular fixture, I will have to buy another Mk1 / 2, AA 200T rifle and diopter sight and if I do, I really want one of these above but no idea if I can get one in the UK. Phil
  12. Early days as I only collected it on Wednesday and been busy altering my wife's clay shooting guns with the stocks needing tweeking. I will do a review once I have had some time to play but so far only popped on the Mamba Lite scope and zeroed it with JSB Exact RS pellets which seem pretty good, now need to lead the barrel and do some serious ratting/feral shooting. I will post how it performs after my shooting holiday in November as we will be shooting clays and will deffo be leading the barrel on the HW110k as well. My wife, Trish, is going to be learning the ropes with the gun us
  13. Now the colder weather is on it's way there will be some indoor range time although not the 100yd you have but nevertheless our little 25mt will have to do. I want to spend some time setting up 50mt zero at full power when the winds have died down and a secondary zero at 25mt with the power at min, which is 25fpe on my Impact. I have concerns regarding how clear the clicks are on my Airmax scope changing from one to another although I will reset zero on the turret scale, with poor close up eye sight it is not too easy. I might just sell the Airmax and go for MTC again or perhaps one of those D
  14. Hmmmm, might be going that route after my eye is sorted Sean even though I love my Nitesite units, there are times when this would be much better.
  15. Just arrived and fits nicely on both guns. Phil
  16. Nice and compact Sean, do you have eye relief when using it or is your eye right up against the unit therefore no discomfort. I really do like the look of this but I doubt my right eye will be up to the task. Seeing a specialist next week so he might say it is a cataract if so once removed, I should be in a better position to see far better through my right eye. Phil
  17. No Jok, the scoped rifles will not fit other than one rifle corner to corner. For £25 it is a good buy for shotgunners even as a spare although some of the older cabinets will not take a 32'' barrel shotgun, that of course may not be an issue to many. Phil
  18. An 18fpe fac in .177 will do plenty of damage but the real hunting capability of the Impact at fac level is in .25 without any question. I did consider the .177 barrel for mine but, with the power turned down, I have no issues using the gun at very close range and to be very honest, I reaaly cannot see me buying any other barrel set as the .25 does everything I want. I have only bought the HW110k because I have two perms where a sub 12 will be better suited BUT if I didn't have one, I would just the Impact anyway. I think I am going to have a chat with Si regarding a mod as the Impac
  19. He has a love affair with that rifle Jimmy. I was thinking about your situation and talking it over with Trish the other night (she sends her best wishes) and saying that as the s/h .177 barrel that I posted on here was bought by one of our members sooooo, if you buy a .177 and at a later date upgrade to fac, that barrel will sell easily allowing you to chuck a wonga towards a .22 or .25 barrel set. This is the pure genius of the FX mindset in particular the Impact and now the Crown which I am sure as time goes by, we will get a much better insight from Mitch as to how good these new gun
  20. My pal and I have ordered a couple of these but they are overdue on delivery so a snotty text to them if they do not arrive today. These will work well on the Impact AND the HW110k as well so a double bargain if they fcuking arrive. Phil
  21. Lost me Jimmy, must be my age........................so what are you doing. Have you decided to get an HW of some sort for the time being. I am lead to believe the HW110KKKKKKKK is not a bad little gun................................................???? Phil
  22. That looks like a shotgun cabinet as are most s/h cabinets. You need to buy either a much larger shotgun cabinet so you can place scoped rifles sideways on, which also gives space for shotguns as well, which I have along with another pure shotgun cabinet, or you buy a NEW scoped rifle cabinet. There are a number of cabinets on ebay that state their cabinets are suited to rifles but do not state 'SCOPED RIFLES' a subtle difference which in other words means they are shotgun cabinets. My advice to you is pay a bit more and buy one through your RFD so you know it will be suited for the job a
  23. I like that very much. Never seen one like that and ideal to set up zero on the diopter which I found quite difficult to be accurate. Phil
  24. Really like the look of that Mitch, it would be just right on my HW110K. I will save that for when I get some spare dosh. When you pal has a moment Mitch, can you please ask him to measure the tube length from the front of the turret to the start of the cone on the optic bell as I need to know if there is enough room to get a mount and Nitesite clamp. Phil
  25. Now then you old bugger, where have you been hiding now you only shoot foxes......................................... Phil
