    I can remember when I was a little lad that if my father bred a litter of Jrt he would sell any spare, it wouldn't be for a lot of money £10 to £15 lol, and my mother would lay claim to it and either buy a winter coat or boots for my brothers or me . There wasn't as much stigma around selling terriers back then I don't think . Mind you average people were a bit more savvy back then and wouldn't give handfuls of money for a cross bred mongrel just because it had a silly name !

    The season started out ok steady graft really but I'm happy with steady Graft . i don't want to jinx myself but dog wise I've got a young dog that has put in an impressive first season , so very happy with him and looking forward to next season .

    Last year I got talking to a man that was a high ranking civil servant at the MOD, anyway he lives in Pimlico Dolphin square so we get chatting and I asked him what he thought about the MI6 man that they found dead in a suitcase and the police tried to say it was suicide .     This is what it is. When your grass goes white in a hot summer what happens is the "green" goes down into the ground, stops it getting sunburnt. What's happened here is while the green was hiding away from the sun someone's dug the grass up, so the green couldn't go back. It was quite common in Victorian times when food was so scarce folk had to eat white grass. Used to happen with dog turds as well, the brown would hide underground.
