For me I wouldn't lay claim that something is my line/strain/family call it what you will, until I had achieved some input that made it mine. You can keep another mans line going for as many gens as you like it will always be he's if you follow he's path. That is until ive made that line better more consistent in work by adding something and making it better than the starting article, then I would say it's my line ! Until then you will always be a man with Nuttall or Steven or Gould or whatever your foundation stock is . JMHO !

There was a lad on earlier selling all Hes digging gear on eBay and getting out of the job , it made me wonder why some people drop out . I don't know if it's the time of year or a genuine reason , it always struck me as sad when people stop digging !

to be truthful I'm not thinking of giving up myself , in fact I'm very happy with my dogs . Although I am going through a bit of a funny stage with losing digging partners lol. I understand that life throws things in the way and I just wondered if any of the lads on here had thought there would be a time that they would stop , for whatever reason that's all really .

A mate of mine had a little terrier bitch that could Finnish the job in quick time and I mean quick, she just had the knack without taking to much herself . in saying that I've seen many terriers start out hard and try and trade with their foes so to speak and eventually spew. I also had a saluki lurcher that had the knack of killing without taking hardly any stick and it was over almost instantly . And again I've seen loads of lurchers that seem hard and again bulk . As far as im concerned the word "socialist" has been corrupted as much as the word racist CC. I grew up surrounded by socialists, hard workers and blokes with very strong views, many of them put their arse on the line for this country, Dunkirk, Arnheim, the desert, and many other places, over the years i heard plenty say "we took the wrong side" i look at these piss poor excuses for socialism and don't see the connection at all mate, wtf use would this scum be if the shit hit the fan?
