  1. well the new lurcher pup has arrived, i picked her up yesterday . she is a lancashire lass her sire is a wheaten greyhound and her dam is a collie greyhoundxwhippet. ive started socialising her with the family and the grandkids but introducing her to the terriers will be done with a bit more care. so a new adventure begins. Darcey. its over a decade since big ozzy was this size so its like going back in time lol.
  2. my brother had one. exactly the same as you descibed them. very steady laid back dog. she was worked to the gun and used for stalking. she exelled at both. a great little gundog.
  3. well drove down to pick up Darcey today. looks a scrawny little thing. collie greyhoundxwhippetx wheaten/greyhound. will post pics soon. cheers
  4. get any friends to push more on fb. mate thats the best way to get the word round locally. get the plummer sites to put the word round also. and get her on the plummer missing/stolen site. best of luck.
  5. very sad and hard to stomach. a cowardly attack. as usual a soft target. ordinary folk women and children. god rest there souls. and thoughts go to families and friends of the murdered and injured.
  6. well i would google info on deerhound crosses. type in that cross and click images. if this is a suitable type go for it and start searching for a litter. and good luck. its not rocket science get your pup rear it well break it to stock then get out and about with it.
  7. your dog would have to be a deerhound or deerhound cross they are steeped in romantic history and folklore. they are stunning to look at loyal and loving. they may not catch a lot but they would still have to work for what they do get

    Kelly Brook

she looks bob on to me mate.
  9. fingers crossed she is home and safe soon.
  10. i fault the guy. his aim must be shite or the ak47 knobhead would have been dead.
  11. its just my thoughts but the heavier terrier crosses need to be real fit to perform at there best. if my old dog carried any weight it made him sluggish. on the few occasions i had him right it really showed. this i recon is one of the reasons the smaller heavier lurchers get some bad press. not many folk keep there dogs work fit . my ozzy looked a little to lean for my liking when he was at his best weight . good luck with the pups .
  12. always sad to read this sort of post. RIP
  13. silly picture. but a favorite of my old dog
  14. anything that is predominantly white is a russell. TYPE. it may have lakie or bull or anything else in its linage but if it mostly white its a russell type. i wouldnt worry about the rest they are all shite anyway
  15. the tractor shot is a belter. nice work.
  16. i take it your putting a gutter on. maybe think about catching the water for washing out etc. looks a cracking set up.
  17. cheers roybo. looking forward to getting her. will post a few pics when i get her
  18. What was his speed like? He looks like a good strong dog. faster than he looks with his full coat. but lacked a gear to be honest.
  19. wheaten whippet couldnt fault the old boy. dont think he ever had a sick day. no reverse gear . ideal for all round pesters dog.
  20. webbed toe's will be handy up here gnipper.
  21. i would like to thank the lads that offered me a pup. there are some very decent lads on this site. but ive come across a litter that is just about perfect for me. spoke to a lad on the phone and all going well . i should have her in around four weeks. she will be called Darcy. is from preston and has both wheaten and whippet in her make up. so the waiting begins. and thanks again for the kind offers guys you know who you are
  22. so greyman. what are you' a vet or a doctor. good luck with your dog king
