  1. Thanks stealthy1 been thinking along them lines. My ferreting mate recons the sas smock has velcro on the pockets already so that could be done. I was hoping somebody had tried one and could tell me how waterproof they are. Cheers Arry
  2. Try this mate. https://www.bakelakes.co.uk Cheers Arry
  3. Mate you have a mouse problem, you must have them for pets Lol. Or were you savaged by some farm watch dog while poaching. Could let you have better one that that mate. Cheers Arry Cheers Arry
  4. I quessed that mate's i'm just joking and green with envy, would love a bit of ground like that. Atb. Cheers Arry
  5. Fair enough every body to their own. Cheers Arry
  6. Christ you guys don't know you're born not a bramble in sight. My hands and arms look like I've been self harming so many scratches. We do have a few open ground borrows but nothing like that, it's mostly hedge crawling for me Lol. Atb. Cheers Arry
  7. Also found this jacket. What I am after is a Tough jacket with the pouch pockets I can get six purse nets in each and is water proof. It has lot less buttons and the pocket flaps seem to cover them. The Dutch one with so called Gortex let the rain in when we got caught in a really heavy shower. Ferrets were in the ground on a big open ground burrow and the heavens opened, it was running out my ass Lol. Was hoping some of the lads on here might have used these jackets. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MTP-Combat-Waterproof-Smock-Jacket-MVP-Material-British-Army-Military-Grade-1/272881699948?_trk
  8. Lads I'm after a good Camo Jacket that is tough and water proof with load of pockets. Been using the Dutch ex army one for two seasons but the Gortex lining is as much use as a chocolate tea pot to be honest. We do a lot of hedge crawling out ferreting and it's getting a bit torn up. This is the Dutch one I've been using. This is the one I'm thinking of getting. Any you guys us them and what do you recon on them. The only thing I don't like look at it is the amount of buttons it has, catching in the long nets etc. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bulldog-MK2-Evolved-Wate
  9. Loving these cold dry crisp mornings forgot what they were like. We don't get them number anymore 10 would be good 15 excellent. Only 4 today Lol, But hey loved ever second of it. They didn't really want to bolt and young ones to boot, got my suspicions there are lots of new age travellers (crusties) near by with dogs think they have been taking a few and spooking the rabbits. Well done on your 21, atb. Cheers Arry
  10. This is more like it a cracking day. Did this road hedge today very disappointing really only four and young ones already didn't help, looks better than it was there in the hedge the other side of the road I think. Still it was a pleasure to be out there great to be alive day. Cheers Arry
  11. Been doing the same farm for the last three weeks Bob, the first week we noticed young in them one ready to drop. Today young popping out and young in every doe. Been so mild up to now it's crazy how early stuff is this year. Cheers Arry
  12. Recon you use a bit of that grey bin for bait they seem to like eating it Lol. Joking aside is that grey bin made of a fairly soft type of plastic? could it be they just like gnawing on because of its texture. It looks to me that they are not gnawing to get in or out but sitting on top and just gnawing for the sake of it. What do you recon? Atb. Or is that bin a wheelie bin that has a lid? Cheers Arry
  13. If I was only closer I would be there mate. Cheers Arry
  14. Yes yes yes its bloody stopped, beautiful frosty morning today and another forecast for tomorrow. So looking forward to a ferreting day tomorrow. Cheers Arry
  15. Violets out now. The Wife's Narcissi out and a Daffodil nearly there. Cyclamen but they do flower early. Cheers Arry
  16. Well only a bit of a Starling. I wondered yesterday loads of Rooks and Seagulls kicking off, hell of a din. Must have been a Sparrow Hawk took him off one of the feeders. Cheers Arry
  17. Certainly got yourself a good little mark there mate, well done again. Cheers Arry
  18. Must be hard mate. I'm retired so is my mate so we can chose when we go. But I want to enjoy a days hunting not to go out and suffer, just crave some cold dry weather. Seems all to hell at the moment it blew a b*****d and pissed down all day today and another one the same to come tomorrow. Cheers Arry
  19. I can't remember a winter as wet as this one. Lots of crops knackered, some farmers still trying to keep stock out which is poaching the ground up. Most of the maze was f****d or harvested late and gone mouldy so they are short of winter feed. Barley has poor germination or the seed rotted in the ground, stubble fields still stubble. Out ferreting on one farm recently up to are ankles in sloppy mud, turned to my mate said do you know I'm really not enjoying this mate. He replied I'm the same. I don't mind getting wet but hauling the gear around drying the gear out getting the purse nets and lo
  20. Nice write up mate, You're as good with the pen as you are with the gun. Really enjoyed that thank you, keep them coming. Cheers Arry
  21. Raining and blowing a b*****d again. Been a wet old winter this year, only had a few frosts and none of them was hard enough to make the ground solid. Been so mild the rabbits have young in already. Cheers Arry
