  1. Nice sport of kings getting a walk in bolting a few rabbits n running whatever gets up some of my favourite days have been similar ?
  2. I would say its just lack of training and obedience from an early age, get them out early and establish what they can and cannot do,whats acceptable etc,it can take a few months to sort out but well worth the effort, I do not get mistakes, only when adding a new pup to the pack but mine kill most stuff above ground anyway, round here it has to be really wet or cold for fox to go to ground and mine never go in a rabbit hole, they will mark up every occupied hole but will always wait, Plummers are a very intelligent breed and trained from young will be fine, Bunnyboiler, I told you when you boug
  3. Cheers AT may of found something that looks chancy bit of a wait for it but good things and all that Sirius my advice would be find a similar type Bitch and get to it asap or you will regret it it's only when there gone you realise how handy they were with them types. I wish you the best of luck finding something suitable ?
  4. There's not a lot that can make me lose my head where dogs are concerned but that sickly smell of badger shit as you go to leash them up makes my piss boil. Why ever they do it I do not know.
  5. some of the nicest I've seen in a while best of luck with em lads
  6. Hearts are ok now and then but wouldn't give too often ?
  7. Any body on here keeping and maintaining a good line of lurcher to lurcher bred dogs ? I don't mean dogs for specific work I mean good allround lurchers that can turn a hand to most jobs and can take the odd knock ? All the lads I go out with all have either daytime saluki blooded dogs or bull x don't see many people with lurcher to lurcher dogs. I'm in the market for a nice strong bitch pup been offered a few decent pups of mates but fancy something that's just out of good honest lurchers is anyone got any prospects planned ?
  8. Like her a lot will she ever be bred ?
  9. Nice bitch you can see the runners know the game mine tend to all pile in cover at once leaving the rabbit (or whatever) to make a clean escape.
  10. Brilliant land and sport there well done ?
  11. I bet that bull x cocker would be a handy animal to have around. How's that red lurcher bred ? Cracking mooch fair play ?
  12. Me mates young bull x getting some fur in his mouth liking what I'm seeing out this dog strong thing
  13. has anyone ever bolted a fox with a ferret?seen it a few seasons ago up lambourne way.netted up and dropped in a few stinkers and out came charlie like an exocet missile with a purse net on his head lol.my old bitch coursed him around the bowl with a load of ramblers stood watching and thankfully he dropped to ground as the old bitch caught hold of his brush.see some strange things when out and about lol.atb dcI've seen a fox get to a net and turn away from it luckily the ferret came up and was quickly grabbed funnily enough about 5 mins from lambourn area reminds me of another time same place
  14. My dl100 has definitely burned out/faded when I first got it was brilliant much better than the plr but now it's only any good for the smallest of fields there handy things for small fields or as a spare but wouldn't use one as my only lamp.
  15. Nice young dog there should have some fun with him ?
  16. Without going into it too much my dogs are broke to everything including young game birds but I still avoid sheep if you've been seen on land before a trigger happy keeper or farmer will be dying to catch your dog in with stock. it's rare someone will come straight up and shoot a dog it's allways done from distance or from a motor. Best thing to do is keep your dog close and don't let it show aggression closest I've come to having a dog shot is when the dog started bearing it's teeth. I find the older fellers ok but it's the young ones straight out of keepering college you gotta watch out for.
  17. Seen this old bull/grey do a fair bit from nights on the lamp hunting up in the day working with terriers ferreting working with the gun running whatever got up I think there's a couple people on here that see him go out. I seen a post on here that some of the best bull x are owned by young lads off council estates that are keen as f**k and out every night this dog n his owner fit that discription well ?
  18. Good offer and well done tig holding it real nice ?
  19. theres an old saying sometimes it's better to be thought a fool then to open your mouth and prove it. Let's remember someone's child has been lost in tragic circumstances I cringe when I see single mothers with 3 kids n a big hyper Akita or bulldog with them wouldn't personaly trust any dog as far as I can throw em but come on. my parents just put there last bulldog to sleep it was bought to look after the stables and yard handy dog was calm and collected until put in a situation but was the sort to go for the weak. any dog can become manny it's about how you manage em. Never really liked any
  20. That's the point I'm making roybo. They are never going to be a general allrounder type, but when you get, and you do, people saying 'my bull x catches r h f d, pre ban, well, was it actually a proper bull x? I don't think so.And as for thumbs up or likes, I really couldn't give a flying f**k who likes or dislikes what I have to say about bull crosses, honestly. And I've seen ALOT more than the odd collie cross taking foxes, very regularly, and taking rabbits and hares on the same night, and deer, which a bull x wouldn't have the speed to get up to, which didn't bounce back off a fence into th
  21. I've a half x dog had some of the nicest cat feet you'd see on a lurcher but after a few years of running the Flint there in all directions now. Saying that also seen dogs with big long flat to the floor monkey toes do abit on bad ground and have run well.
