  1. RAIL TRAPS???? what are these have you any pic's Just a log, post, or dead tree, over a stream, ditch or brook with a fenn or bodygrip placed on it, bodygrips being best... Easy access crossing point for little critters like stoats, squigs, rabbits, etc

  17. I thought locking wires were a no-no, Ian? Or am I talking about something else entirely? OTC Yes locking snares are illegal OTC, no I've not used them at all, but as woodga says they can be made into a small relaxing eyelet with minimal effort and are super fast..

To be honest the 6 strand brass rabbit snares are by far the best available, and most easy to work with, the americans don't really use brass they use the various aircraft cable for most snaring from rabbit/mink/fox/coyote etc from 1mm upto 3-4mm etc but they do not have the rabbit numbers we have, can you imagine pissing about with 100 galv rabbit wires, yes they will work, just like lots of other methods, ie how many people probably still use hazel tealer rabbit snares they work still but we have better tools available i.e the figure 4 tealer, which allows swiveling and doesn't spilt over ti
