  1. Try to isolate any other food sources meinnotts, and as said use a little bait on one side of a blind tunnel to entice if required..
  2. Al you did the right thing, domesticated animals depend on their owners for everything food, water, shelter, care.. if these people can't provide that and are mistreating their animals... f**k what all the other arsewipes say, if I was mistreating my animal starving it, beating it to a pulp, I'd expect someone to report me, thats what these organisations are for.... yes theres a line between neglect and working trust me ...theres people out their who have dogs who are not fit to have dogs and they are allowed to have kids too thats the scary thing!!!!

Yes she has raised awareness and cancer is an evil unto itself, a nasty cloud that can easily destroy any of our lives, so you have to show respect to people who choose to fight it, especially all odds aside when they have children left behind... Besides the nastisness of it all , I personally don't agree with pushing yourself into the public eye on your final weeks of your own life, regardless of money involved, its a private time for your family and close relatives to come to terms with whats happening, not for the public eye and papers to rip your life wide open and all its ups and down
  4. To be honest mate you shouldn't be needing to adjust the pan height at all, just set them fine and try it..
  5. Mat I don't bend them but sometimes on traps the pan can be set down at too low an angle and prevents the trigger releasing, a simple slight bend upwards of the pan by hand and that problem is remedied, its also simple to just bend it slighlty back by hand if required, i.e reversable, when filing its easy to take off but a bit harder to put back.. I know we all have our own methods, and fileing will make the trap even more sensitive maybe too much, IF required and raise the pan very slightly but create more work, why not just tweak by hand... End of the day, its still going to catch rats regar
  6. Yes just like any trap, i.e mousetrap, etc.. tweak it so its very fine or sensitive to touch..
  7. Don't go filing too much, I don't file anything just set them on a hair trigger by hand...
  8. You can actually bend the pan plate up slightly if its really required, test fire the trap first to ensure no restrictions on firing, yes they need to be turned 90deg so the rats are coming through either side of the jaws rather than over them... If you want to degrease a load of traps at once just get a bucket with some hot water in and fairy liquid in there, that should get rid of any residue, then rinse and hang.. You can spray or dip or just leave weathered.. With your cubby, the rats will use them, but try putting a little bait one side of the trap and blocking the entrance hole on the sa
  9. Nice one rock on joe, hope you lads had a good day...
  10. Areas that are lamped regular the rabbits can become very lamp shy. so you have to look at other methods of control theres a few fields I visit that have large numbers of rabbits one hint of a lamp and their gone... Snaring/Trapping is very effective at controlling numbers as well as night vision for the isolated areas with high numbers in...

  14. Not sure about statements on wind with the HMR, I've shot mine at 50-60yds with a medium cross wind and the bullets were drifting 2" left off target, they require regular cleaning to keep accuracy as they are pretty dirty ..compared to the likes of a .22 rimmy..

  16. Just checked a small section of fenceline today and had a few in it, two snares were snapped, as I went to pull one rabbit from a snare, another next to it snapped the snare and broke free.... someone had pulled tight most of the snares on a woodside as well.. Twats, can't leave anything..
  17. Nice going macsas, three less of the little invaders..
  18. Given the choice I'd rather fence snare than peg snare or a combination...personal preference.... Just use hoop snares on the runs rolfe even if theres sheep in there, thats what they were designed for as Glenn says...
  19. Well welcome back peg... Yep if anyone can put someone straight peg can, fastest snarer in the north, east, south and west...
  20. 100 my arse... fook that, but I could see you were impressed... ....
  21. Even if you hang them a couple of days you still get the odd fleas on them still... Won't hurt anything, but I don't like the little bleeders anyway or ticks makes me skin crawl.. If your worried about your ferrets give them a real small squirt of frontline on their kneck and rub it in, should keep them flea and tick free...
