  1. Well we have had muggy weather conditions all day, decided to chance it and go for a lamp on some land, phoned peter up and the part time keeper came with us also, what a bloke, hes like a lurcher running down the beam to retreive the rabbits...Legend at 67 years old.. We took over a 100 rabbits with the rimmy, we lost a few down hedges & holes, straight to dealer in morning...I've already taken over a 100 from one area using snares on here, so a couple more sessions and we should have things vastly reduced...
  2. Tend to disagree with that one, people say this a lot, I've shot rabbits and had them left in the garden for a 1 1/2 days and theres fleas on them still, same when I've snared them overnight stone dead, and removed them next day, a lot are still crawling in em... Doesn't make a difference to me, they either go straight in the freezer or to the dealer.... Although I hate fleas/ticks..always makes me itch thinking about the little blighters..
  3. Have you tried eley subs in it rob??
  4. What scopes are guys using on their HMR rifles??? Just out of interest..
  5. Has he mauled a broom handle for the pegs... See colin (woodga) for any snares you want, or if you want even better ones get some off the warrener, some nice bullseye snares that break rabbits knecks on impact
  6. No taz, had it incase I spotted a roebuck .. I'm going to lamp the farm this week, still a lot around and the farmers want me to drive the crops to get them down further...
  7. Few more, I'm getting fatigued now ... One for you poacherkev a before and after shot, notice I've just enlarged the mesh pulling on top and bottom to increase killing area, also I have covered the top piece of netting with the snare to break up the outline of the snare, sometimes if you set too low a rabbit will jump through the mesh and knock it OR be caught around the shoulders/hip area...I've had a few knocks on some of the snares, these are all new snares on the photos, what you will find though is, this time of year the rabbits are feeding during the day and
  8. As woodga says, the bodygrips also kill better than the fenns, as they strike across the chest area whilst the fenns strike across the shoulders.... Both good traps, the fenns you sit flush on the floor and they rest secure the bodygrips require stabilising, you can use umpteen different ways to do this...
  9. Utter shit, hes running them now when they have leverets with multiple dogs?? He awesome, one man legend
  10. I'll pay in kind next time we meet, you can handle big eric and the twins...

  11. I'm no pro kev by a long shot .... Anyway what is classed as a pro??? Theres that many people calling themselves pro's these days its hard to sort the wheat from the chaff... people go out kill a hundred rabbits in a week or 50 moles and there suddenly instant experts and pro trappers... its quite amusing.. No I'm just a bog standard average vermin killer... Heres a few more from today, another 5 lost to fox though... I'll sort some before/after if you really want some...

    Siberia

Nobby mentioned he'd watched this other night, and it was good...I missed it, for anyone who missed it too heres a link http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00jt...olstoy_Siberia/
  13. Yes ignore its spam...
  14. They do the exact same job, although a little easier to set with the handles, slightly weaker than a talpex but still plenty powerful enough to slice through and dispatch... A handy trap, but the duffus is still king of all

    SPAM

Do not click on any links sent by this member "Jurdreda" who has been removed as its spam, so anyone receiving a message with a link in don't click it... This is happening on a lot of forums, they are bypassing the forum spam system, by registering manually "human" then enabling a bot script to flood the forum members with spam PM's..
  16. Flatpack traps rule, I cannot complain at all, they are quality british made with decent steel and powerful springs... Also I'm using a talpex clone from the Magnum Trap co, which I can highly recommend, as used by Chalkwarren on the site also, does the business, do not be fooled into the chinese crap that looks VERY similar though, they couldn't half kill a field mouse OR cut through the soil.... Anyone intrested in these traps contact Magnum
  17. Get woodgas DVD if you haven't watched it, compared to the amount of shite DVD's about, this ones actually worth the money..
  18. No, not unless asked too or they need sorting... I don't like killing them when they have cubs... but its just one of them things, I don't mind a few lost rabbits this time of year..
  19. Shut it turdball or I'll give you the hairy side
  20. Feck me there all easy you stalkers are a bunch of pussy boys... Not rocket science pulling a trigger blue!!!!!!!!!!!! Good hunting foxhunter you absolute rimmer Can I ask where is the the love lately!!!
  21. Why not use the standard horizontal wooden/artificial tunnels with a fenn or bodygrip.. why all the vertical mounted carry on?? Or if you really want something up a tree use a kania or a bodygrip with felt nails.. All suitably enclosed of course!
  22. The ones in the second last photo won't look so lively tommorrow....
  23. Well I was out checking again today and I'm starting to put a dent in them, but I've snared a few extra spots were they were active as you can see by some of the end photos, lost about 10 to fox and badger, also the crows take some beating them to the rabbits... Farmers son had been round one area and lifted the rabbits and a hare out of the snares into the trees again... and the snares I had out yesterday proved productive hands haven't stopped tingling yet though... same again tommorrow hopefully, rabbit pie anyone???
  24. Don't put too much tension in, not a problem with pegsnares, but I don't like to have too much tension at all in fence snares, very lght...
