Many years ago I had a job in one of those cradles, the old type where you pull yourself up and down one end at a time and the rope is gripped by wrapping it back over itself so that’s it’s your weight gripping it and stopping you from falling !!…….swung about all over the show. Really cool bikes I had a dt50mx that was a fun little bike had a top speed of about 45mph down hill but what freedom it gave me to get about was the best part

Whilst I agree with the gist of that mate, I think we also have to take into account that as the years have gone on it has become more recognised and as such more diagnosed. Looking at my boy he displays many traits I did as a kid or I look at my younger daughter and she is definitely on the spectrum in many ways, but when I was a kid and she was a kid it was just thought of as someone’s quirks and as long as you could function and get by nobody thought much of it, it’s when you can’t function at something everyone else is doing it presents a problem and that, along with better understand
