I came across these documentaries a couple of weeks back a few good characters on this billingsgate one. Men who I’d say would still have no issue in doing a deal for abit of fish. I’m not sure if the market is still open like it is in the documentary maybe someone here would know? If it was I’d like to give it a visit

Mate I live in a house that dates back to 1054, with add ons through the tudor and Georgian eras...insulation no, double glazing no....but... If I was building a new house I'd insulate the floors, walls and roof..I'd choose a pitched roof as I think they look better for starters, plus give you a vaulted ceiling so increasing head room.... but as with everything else you've probably built more than anyone else on here, there aint much you don't know about eh

Read most of the poaching books over the years the one that stood out was by Harold Wyman the great game. TBH I enjoy reading about big game hunting and man eaters rather than most books wrote about hunting and what not in this country.

Not sure about gypsy dogs , most I’ve seen are underfed, not good at lamping, and when it gets a bits hairy they will drive off and leave em. Always want to buy your dog and all go poaching 4 up,4 lamps,4dogs, if you don’t hear them coming a mile away shouting, slamming gates etc you certainly will see them all 4 of them blasting lamps everywhere.you will know if they been in your ground as most snip the fences with cutters cause the dogs can’t jump .
