Fckin hell.....a mini Gman , that's all society needs I always think it's great seeing kids spend a lot of time with grandparents. I can imagine how proud you are seeing him thriving outdoors
  5. I've just buried the old girl, 15 and a half, she's had cancer for about 3 years but the other day she ran a deer for a few hundred yards (!) and gave herself a hernia so it was time. Had her from a pup off MB and she's been a brilliant dog. Good manners, obedient, clean in herself, clean in the house, never any hassle, didn't like teeth but great at everything else. Shame they get old. She's now in the garden with her 3 mates. D.

Being a grandad is an open door for everyone to pile there old gear on your grandson I get so much stuff handed over for mine it’s mental lol
  12. We had an Italian foreign exchange student stay at our house when I was 17 he was 15, me and my brother are still good mates witg him now. We've been over to him in Bormio a few times, he is a ski instructor, taught all our kids to ski (and us lol)... he sent me this on Saturday morning He was one of the time keepers for the men's downhill.. said "you have skied on an olympic slope"... the downhill slope was in Bormio... they are mental the speed they hit going down there, we are obviously shit and its scary enough lol... my Italian mate broke his back in a bad fall skiing for Ital
  13. Thankyou very much sir .
  14. Saw that goal city scored at the end only for it too be disallowed were is the common sense in disallowing it and sending that lad off at that stage of the game fa need proper footballing people in who know and played the game
  15. I would just take the game back to how it use to be played regarding booking offside the all shebang and give the ref back that his decision is final get shut of var totally and maybe introduce something with having to have a couple of home grown players on the pitch or bench
  16. That’s nothing, I sat through a whole GAA game once and was on the edge of pulling my own eyes out for 70 minutes ! The most lethal thing is the boredom ! lol
  17. I'll take a look. I don't want anything for them. I'm away in Scotland this week so can't get back in the loft until next week but I'll look as soon as I get chance
  18. Be some nostalgia their mate for some of us of a certain age I remember buying it weekly from the early 70’s until the shooting news came out in the 80s. Always remembered a letter from a certain Peter Carne if my memory is right who was calling for lurchers to be banned or licensed due to them being used on deer and Brian Plummer to his credit savaging him in the letter replies.
  19. As age creeps up on me at an alarming rate I keep meaning to do the same. Just recently gave a load of my pike fishing gear to my grandson and I was joking to his dad when he came to pick it up it will be less stuff of mine to go through when I croak. It's the fairly large book collection on hunting related and nature i need to get my head around sorting out. The same day his dad took him pike fishing and he caught one on the tackle I gave him that was great to see the pic's he sent me.
  20. Missed that first time round - glad it was bumped, cracking work
