Like you say there are little pockets of these things left but they’re usually people reliving their youth. Seen a few videos recently of some bloke singing some of the old ska/two-tone classics with guys and girls in their 60’s skanking away, good for them but it did look a bit ridiculous. Fella I work with is 63 and goes all over the country watching punk bands from back in the day.., or what’s left of them. I think the dance/indie/rave scene of the late 80’s early 90’s was the last real youth cultural thing.., or at least the last of any size and real significance. 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Yeh I was telling my daughter all about it the other month...she's 23 now...I was telling her at my secondary school which was a comprehensive...we didn't have uniform so kids dressed as they liked....mods rockers skins punks new romantic...young girls in skin tight jeans and high heels...sh couldn't believe it..
