like i say mate theres very few can kill the strong uns  in the heavy going

the best me old man had was a pure regulary do 5-6 mate not just the odd time shanes dad noddy mentions that  dog in the book luke that my old man took em out with  when they was at school that killed 7  that  was a linebred 3/4 my old man bred luke to a greyhound then a pup back to the pure that could do 5s weekly aswell

the only differnce is less roads and you walked were you wanted

So 1/4 greyhound. Hmmmmm. Goes against the grain that does Mick. Your always telling us it's no good putting greyhound into a line. ?

Just polished his shoes and put his best trousers on for that hunt, knocked it out of Barlows earth, to be fair the pics could of been taken the next day before he went to his job as a teacher, also might of needed to wait to get someone else to take the pic because he didn’t have his selfie stick with him at the time

Plummer was a writer, and a good one.

He had us all enthralled as youngsters with his tales, but the vast majority were just that….tales !
There was a very similar guy in New Zealand called Barry Crump, he wrote great books about hunting , his book called “A Good Keen Man” about Government deer, pig and goat cullers is an excellent read. The Crocodile Dundee character was based on him.

When I mentioned him to pig hunting lads in NZ they all laughed and said all his experience was gained in a pub talking to real hunters, but he was a good bloke.

That reminded me of when Plummer came up here and met lads in my local pub on the pretext of buying some game fowl and Jack Russells; it became evident that he was just after material for a book and was laughed out of the pub after about 10 minutes.

But we are still talking about him and his books all these years later !

Cheers.

No, I never met him, but read most of his books, they were the most stolen library books at one time, evidently 😂👍

Cheers.
