THE STIFFMEISTER 17,863 Posted Friday at 23:15 Report Share Posted Friday at 23:15 I had a dog that used to go get itself ice creams , he’d follow the van round and knock people out the way to get to front and eat a double 99 in a bite before making his way home howling with brain freeze the same dog would lie all day in the Back garden at my granddads house In The summer and watch for vans , any type escorts , transits , sprinters pulling up on the square we lived in . He had a particular penchant for parcel line ones . When they pulled up he was off , over the wall then the front gate and would either bail in the van if it was open or circle frantically until the courier / plumber / roofer emerged . He associated vans with coursing and lamping so much he assumed every vehicle that type was to take him out . Funny things dogs aren’t they 6 Quote Link to post
chartpolski 28,925 Posted Friday at 23:28 Report Share Posted Friday at 23:28 (edited) I’ve had a few Salukis, pures and crosses, and I’ve always considered them amongst the most stupid of the canine species; but I’ve obviously had the wrong ones, some mentioned on here should enter Britains Got Talent, they’d win the £250,000 first prize hands, ( or should that be “paws”), down ! Cheers. Edited Friday at 23:29 by chartpolski 3 Quote Link to post

I always think of Salukis as slightly different to other dogs , you just have to accept it really as they are f***ing infuriating I’ve seen some do some things that other just dogs can’t do , any others do things any other dog wouldn’t be stupid enough to do 1 Quote Link to post

I used to drive over to the other side of the city to my pals house and let the dog follow me. Then it started getting there before me and waiting at the door. I found out it was taking short cuts through the parks and through open doors in the blocks of flats ! Maybe it was an “outlier” and not as stupid as most Salukis ? But, as you say, most could be infuriating Cheers. Quote Link to post
