They use them in NZ for bailing pigs because of their bark but not great blood for a lurcher unless it took after the sighthound.

I don't know why people think that a dog that yaps from time to time is a bad thing. It certainly has its uses.

Probably an accidental litter and there might be a useful knockabout mongrel lurking amongst them but you wouldn't risk buying one as a runner would you.

Huntaways are noisy and I wouldn't want a lurcher bred out of one

Few types are bred to be vocal,ive seen rabbit dogs in Spain and boy are they a noisy bunch ,good at the job and tuff as old boots ,have to be to run the land they work but unless you're on permission it's not a type you'd want to own ,
